Thanks I'm gradually getting there. Started putting the next formation of Swords last night. Already have the 2 revenants and the Avatar on the go. Once those 8 models are done, I should have a nice 3k army finished and am extra 1.5k to swap in if I need them.

I've got 12 wraithlord, 3 fireprisms, 1 falcon, 1 firestorm, 2 scorpions, 1 cobra and another Stormserpent sitting in bits in a box, so another swords formation with fireprisms in then, and maybe a EOV formation. I might be able to get out another 4 stands of rangers and 6 bike stands out of what I've got lying around.

I'll be leaving planes till valentines for obvious reasons, want to have them on AI bases.

Yum. :)

I can't say I've noticed the AI bases, but then I haven't been looking too hard at any previews.  Any handy links?

They are refirbished hex bases from the highly unpopular LOTR hex game.. they have 2 dials, one for air speed and one for altitude. They are quite important as certain moves can cause you to drop height and if you do them too low you crash.

BTW any idea what I should take against 'nids looking at the rules I'm really really scared of them. I have heavy hitting short ranged firepower in the form of Wraithguard but I can't cause blast markers so how do I deal with formations. I guess what I want is lots of fast moving ranged firepower, but I don't know how I do this with Iyanden.

Try night spinners and fire prisms, they'll work.

Cool. thought that might be the way to go Charad. Disrupt will be pointless, but blasts should be good.

yes, eldar lack very good anti-infantry shooting. And those blasts are way to clean gaunt masses. Fire prisms lance is good, because nids have lots of RA units and also AP shots are needed sometimes. Cobras could be nice too, since lots of nid players uses those bio-titans a lot.
Phoenix bombers were also quite effective against nids.

Clipping FF assaults will allow you grind them down.  With vastly better FF you should be able to win using kills even though Nids can't have BMs on them.  Not only do you get the direct kills from the FF but you get the hackdowns from winning.  Just make sure you consolidate far enough that they can't reach base contact.

yes, and eldar have plenty of good FF units. :D
Especially jetbikes are good as being skimmer, no hormagaunts or genestealers can harm them.
