Is was Tim_nz's idea from back in the day: https://www.tacticalwargames.net/taccmd ... =7&t=19515

I added a plasticard hull and filed off the missiles though.

I finished up my Dwarf General and remaining Rune Priest characters for the Historicon tournament last weekend. The General is an unreleased figure that I converted to be holding a hammer instead of a stein. The banner/musician behind him on the right is unreleased as well.

One Rune Priest was a weapon swap while the other was unreleased. The banner here is unreleased as well. I need to track down the decals I did for these to truly finish them up. They're lost at the moment.

Finally, I've been distracted by these 15mm New Israeli from Ground Zero Games. I sanded down their integral bases and put them on washers.

Seven years ago I started on some snow terrain (16 bases of trees) that never really saw the light of day nor a finished table. I couldn't keep the tree mats from curling up and just gave up and moved on. Last year I picked up some more trees after Christmas for cheap and this week I finally started trying to finish a table, this is the result.

Image

The tree bases are canvas, with DAP Alex caulk spread thin and stipped with a wet brush to texture it. Once that dried I coated them in gesso and covered them in Woodland Scenics snow and a sprinkling of their green blended flock. After that, I sprayed watered down white glue and then a matte spray. So the flock is locked in there pretty good now. The hills are from War Torn Worlds and pretty much got the same treatment. For the rocks I used warm grays and tans with washes and drybrushes.

I think I also want to do some larger hills as well, maybe I can finish them up before NEAT next month.

Being able to paint eight of these up a week is making them a little addictive. The next batch of 15mm New Israeli is done, I've got another 16 to go before I order more.

Had to google that one, Jimmy.

I wanted to have these ready for NEAT next Saturday so I painted up my remaining Commissar markers and a Supreme Commander today after doing the putty work last night. They're all magnetized to be dropped in where they're needed in a given list.

Thanks Apoc.

I painted up my Commissar Hellhound to see how the scheme worked on the tanks and turret. Because I didn't have room for a hatch I painted the back of the turret black and red to help differentiate it from the others. I'm hoping to finish the other five and three Stormswords for EpiComp at the end of the year.

Loren basecoat, nuln pin wash, Gnarloc (old foundation) layer, Straken edge and Nurgling corner is my recipe for the IG green. If you want the New Israeli green that's different.

The Gnarloc brightens up the Loren a little bit, but could probably be left out. I just do it now because it's quick enough and everything else got it.

Last update for 2020, I finished up the Hellhounds and Stormlords this weekend for EpiComp, so I think I'll head back and try to clear some of my various tangeants for the year off of my painting desk. Then I'll start some more!
