Thanks all. Like what you did Axelfendersson. Should have thought of the rule of 9. Of course, I definitely didn't have enough sorcerers for that.

Took a few photo's outside after work. Gives a bit better idea of the color.
First is the Magister Templi.

Didn't get much accomplished in the last day. Just painted the 5 rubric marines for the Scarab Occult. Just need to get them on the bases now.

Instead I played a game this evening. 3000 pts - Thousand Sons VS Tyranids. Much fun and mayhem was had. Didn't actually finish the game (in 3 hours), but at least we made 2 turns and caught up on things. I played the Scarab Occult for the first time (even with only 2 figures and wreckage on the bases) and as per usual (at least in my experience) they preformed as every newly painted unit does. Take horrendous casualties and flee without accomplishing anything. Oh well, their not virgin anymore. Maybe next time.

The Table
Think I've heard it said around here 'without pictures it didn't happen'. Got that covered now.

Although we didn't finish this it was an interesting game for me especially since I used an army different then usual. The Dominatrix is almost never present in my lists or a bio-Titan since they have a low survivability rating IMO, and in this game a pin point attack took out the Herodule before it had a chance to make any impact on the game. On the other hand the Dominatrix can withstand a lot more since you can add a bunch of Trygons to absorb much of the initial onslaught.

On another note I do think the approved Nid list works good and so far the army performs quite well. There are still many different options I need to try out like a tunneler heavy army or one with lots of assault vehicles. In this game it's the first time I used a unit of Exocrines, 6 of them and their firepower actually was pretty descent. The genestealers were not there for the first time ever, I always have a unit of them but they really weren't missed.

I find the Sons army to be quite fun to play against and John does a fantastic job, great painting and conversion skills, lots of eye candy to enjoy.

Very nice! You should bring them down to Sentry Box on a saturday so I can see them in person.

I've only been playing since Epic Armageddon when an Outrider friend (its been awhile) introduced it to me while I was waiting on a Warhammer game at The Sentry Box here in Calgary. The same fellow got me into 40K, Gothic, Epic, and Man o War, so he's cost me a lot of money over the years.

Were you talking to Rob? Talking to Rob can be expensive :D
