they are actually larger than i was expecting... 18mm diameter is a sizeable turret.... i was expecting more point defence size turrets... these feel more like MBT turrets...

Yep the Big ones could be for Titans/Gargants or Large Normany type Def. Bunkers/Batteries, etc. But the smaller ones could work on larger AFVs ... But O/C moving into the 6mm AFVs & Grunts Range, is certainly a good thing, even if the vaunted Slammers never make it to 6mm ... Like I said with G/W's fading support for Epic and what appears to be some financial concerns, this may/probably open up the 6mm Sci-fi market for DRM, E/W, GZG, Baccus, etc. and now - O/C ! It's all good !
