Nothing to add, I'm just a bit lost as to what the tac comm community is supposed to be doing to aid netERC right now.

Hey Mephiston:

Necrons were pushed to May, as that will be 1 year from the Raiders release.  January was left open as a "breather" month because we're a bit behind.

I'll update the schedule.

Thanks for updating the sticky Neal.

A minor point but it doesn't show up as a new or changed post so it wasn't until I looked inside that I noticed it had changed!

Taken care of, thanks!

Yeah, weird.  I noticed that.

In answer to your earlier question, the biggest help would be playtest results - batreps, summaries, whatever.  The main projects are Nids and Tau so those would be the most profitable for NetEA, but of course anything is welcome.

Open question:  Given E&C's extended and likely continued absence, should we go ahead and delay the WE month?

Personally, I think so.  I rather liked E&C's AT rules and I think with a pretty small amount of modification they could be made into a more detailed but fully compatible WE system.  I think that the individual lists (at least OGBM and AMTL) have seen quite a bit of progress individually.  They don't necessarily need a dedicated month at this point.  The next logical step is an optional, more detailed system.

Open question, part 2:  If we delay the WE month, should we move something else forward, revisit something else (Chaos, perhaps) or should we just use it as additional "catch up" time for Tau and Nids?

I think both Tau and Tyranids could use the time to be focused on.

There's a new Tau version release just around the corner and I'm putting some finishing polish on a new Tyranid version.

Quite honestly I am not ready for the Lugganath updates (which I suppose would be lumped with OGBM and AMTL) so a delay would help me get caught up on everything.

A delay to catch up seems the most sensible option, given that the Tau are actually finally moving.

At some point I think getting the ball rolling on Chaos again would be a good thing. I might start asking for feedback soon. We had a good deal of discussion a while ago and things have sort of died down (which I was rather thankful for as it got a little crazy for a while). Obviously the focus should be on 'Nids and Tau right now.

I think prior to that it might be an idea to discuss some of the newly proposed units before testing begins on the list as a whole

So we've continued to make progress.  Not everything has hit a new plateau for a semi-fixed version but many have.  We have new versions of Tau and Nids and E&C even managed to get back online for an AMTL update.  Hopefully, if those are going to be advanced, we'll have the next iteration by the end of the month, along with any new versions of the "minor" lists.

Looking forward to the May rules review, I find that we really don't seem to have much.  Everyone seems very content with the core rules.  All the contention is over army lists.

So... instead of a rules review, I propose we do a "fine tooth comb" review of the FAQs.  Make sure everything is correct and up to date (like the Skimmer contradictions) and do some brainstorming on things that keep falling in the "we really should add that" category so we can get them included.  I think the "5-minute Warmup" list would be a good thing to add to that package as well.

Thoughts?

Raiders will have it's 1 year anniversary in May and I'd like to make sure all three lists are up for that month.

EDIT
May - NetEA Rules Review and Raiders Review
Dark Eldar
Necrons
Minervans

Just saw this.  I'll be quiet now. :vo

What is the plan with the FAQs, are they going to be re-published on the SG / GW site?
