Even though lists get consistently updated, the mass data entry could still be done. Then it is merely a process of tweaking after the fact in most cases (adding a line here, deleting a cell there).

That's the stage we're in. The "DRAFT" versions originally posted are done... they got posted. *laugh*

It's now a matter of fine tooth combing and getting updates into those docs.

I'd much rather see a compiled document sooner, then sorting out any errors once it's released. It'll be a living rulebook, so it doesn't need to be perfect at first.

Judging from the state of the vote right now, +31.

That would be awesome. I think it could be the way forwards.

How about releasing as the rules as an ebook (ipad, kindle etc) so us cheap skates don't have to print reams and reams of paper? Although i love the rules i dont want to spend the $65 ++ to get it printed and bound. just got full thrust cross dimensions as ebook and i love it! (i know this isn't really the kind of suggestion that you were asking for)

I know nothing about ebooks, but doesn't the kindle support .pdf already? as all the rules are available as pdfs, why make new ebook formats?

Also you can just selectively print the useful pages, in black and white, at two pages per sheet.

Edit: Also, why would a cheap skate own an ipad/kindle in the first place :D

Yep - My Kindle has PDF's

Use Calibre, you can put anything on it then - it converts it into whatever format you need.

I intend to put a copy on my Applephone, much easier than lugging all that paper around.

Though if a print run was organised I'd get a copy anyway.

Drat, I was going to mention Calibre. :P
It's fantastic software for editing, converting, and organizing ebooks in any formant plus it's cross-platform and 100% free! There's really no reason not to have it if you like ebooks. ;)

This is all true, I only wish I could marry it... *stares wistfully into the distance*

and yeah cheapskates do own kindle and ipads (because of all the free sci-fi stuff you can get from baen books)
now i feel i have hijacked the thread-go about your business!!! 8)
