We once had someone come up with the perfect solution for screwed-up rolls. Re-roll with maximum number of hits as the previous roll. So, if you scored badly, you still will. That way, noone will feel cheated. In the odd occasion of every dice scoring a hit there would be no need for a re-roll. The last dice was just to make sure
On cocked dice we always count everything as cocked so no arguments will arise.
