I would make this like AP3+(MW), AT5+ ...  i.e. make macro an attack type adjustment, lance could be another and TK too...

That is another thing that is this really needed...

Should this be desired, I believe that rpr has the best idea.

The Vulcan Mega-Bolter comes to mind.
With Strength 6 it wounds almost all infantry on a 2+ and with Armourpiercing 3 it ignores all but the heaviest armour. So it would mow down infantry like a scythe through a cornfield.
But Strength 6 is pretty poor against vehicles but the very high number of shots (15!) would give it some chance to destroy one.

One thought here- if you split MW into MP/MT but keep MW itself then you could conceivably have both MW4+ and MP4+/MT4+, however the latter is substantially better against mixed formations.by circumventing the MW targeting irregularities.  This is most definitely a good thing IMHO, but only if you replace  all MW with MP/MT nomenclature to keep things even...

This is just a rehash of dumping MW from the fire power section and putting it into notes.

Something like:

X-Gun    30cm    AP3+/AT5+    Macro-weapon(AP)

Y-Gun    30cm    AP6+/AT4+    Macro-weapon(AT)

Is like what you suggest, just without new terminology.

Keeping the MW out of the firepower section and in the notes section I think will be clearer, and keep things more condensed.

If this concept were to be added, it would I think, quite nicely address the issue of infantry units with a RA save...i.e. terminators and Tau crisis suits.

I can see where they should be nigh impervious to standard small arms and infantry support weapons. ?Where the system breaks down IMHO...is when hvy weapons...i.e. tank main guns or titan grade weapons shoot at them. ?

I simply can't visualize a terminator getting hit by a gatling blaster and shrugging off a hit. ?The suit armor may be able to withstand the hit..but I really can't see the marine inside...or the tau inside... in the case of a crisis suit... not being pulped..or at least incapacitated by the force of the hit...blunt force trauma anyone? :)

If the concept of tankkiller/infantrykiller weapons were to be added, perhaps units such as terminators could have the notation RA (infantry) ?and loose the RA bouns when being hit by MW or by weapons with the Infantrykiller designation.

Once again, I'm not saying that the armor can't survive the attack...just that the person inside probably could not.

Just a thought.
