Hullo,

Just a quick question to bother you with.

I recently picked up 2 2nd-hand EA ThunderHawks, but they came without bases, and clearly can't balance on my old-style T'hawk bases.  Can anyone please tell me which GW flyer base these use?  Is it the larger or smaller ones that are presently sold?

Thanks for any help.

They are sold with the larger one, but I can tell you they stand just fine on the smaller ones.  The only problem you run into is when you need to set the model on a hillside or such.

The EA Thawk looks good on the small round base... for those wondering about FW I think it would look best on the large one.

wasn't expecting more then one opinion!  :)

Thanks for the answers guys!

I'm presently redesigning my hills to limit sloped areas anyway, so that's not a big problem.  Are the small ones similar size to the old ones?  If they are they would be much more likely to get knocked over, me thinks.

I would be tempted by forgeworld, but not quite for the money.  Their super-heavys are another matter   :)

Thanks for the extra info, as I'll use the spares for other aircraft.  Need to shorten some for Netepic, low-altitude use.

I would not glue them if I were you.  Thunderhawks look just as cool on the ground as they are dropping off troops.  :)

Wouldn't dream of glueing them  :confuse:  :O That would be shockingly bad form  :)

Flyers are  certainly cool on all occasions.  Well maybe not so much the old T'Hawks, which I'll have to find a new use for.

If only I were a rich boy [looks off into distance and dreams of FW Thunderbolts]
