No, because (1) he's too much of a gentleman to put his boots on a sofa; (2) either way, he'd have camouflaged his boots better; and (3) he'd have applied camo paste to his face as well.  :D

Nice pic :)

An airborne trooper wouldnt be caught dead in 'jarhead' fatigues!

Nope, those are ACUs (Army Combat Uniform).  They replaced the BDU.  I'm wearing a set right now.

I stand corrected Sgt Crunch, thanks!
Not as flashy as Naval Whites are they?  :D

Nope not nearly. ?One thing I like about working with the Navy, if there's any doubt about ?what season it is, I just have to see whether they're wearing Whites or the Johnny Cash's. ?Though usually I spend my time seeing how many Chiefs I can piss off by calling any naval vessel regardless of size a "boat" or calling aircraft carriers "those big floaty things with the airplanes"  :p    :D

Well ... I go looking for a job and work out at the gym and look what happens ! :D And Yes, you are all correct on all points !   The guys at R&D, should be proud how well the ACUs blend in ... with a floral print sofa ! :)  Amazingly the USMC new camo pattern does look a lot like the ACU !  But again Tas is correct, I guess the closest I got to getting into a USMC uniform was when I was "involved" with a USMC female Lance Cpl !!!  Along, long time ago !!     Thanks for thinking about me boyz !  And I guess by virtue of past rank I was a "gentleman" ... as Van said !  :D    I don't own a pair of the new ACUs ... way after my time ... got a lot of BDUs, Camo and standard Jungle Fatigues and a set of Overwhites + the very OOP OD fatigues ( these were the worst Army uniform since the wool ones used during the ACW !)  :D

Thats OK, we amuse ourselves by seeing how long we can string you out when you go looking for a "toilet"!   :p

Oh yes, do enjoy your ration packs.  I take chefs, fresh food and a cheese board when I go to war.  And fresh coffee.  And a bar

Does hiding on a couch come up often in combat? It seems counter-intuitive.

Maybe not in combat, but when your wife has a new honey-do list, camo becomes of the utmost importance.

Eh, it's all in good fun.  My old man retired from the Navy Reserve, had six years active duty before mom talked into going back home.  It's amusing when somebody tries to confuse me with naval terminology such as "head", "geedunk", etc.  Actually, I almost joined the Navy, but the recruiter managed to piss me off in under five minutes.
