Did anyone else notice the acknowledgement to Transformers in the new Lizardman army? The Oldblood (?) on Carnisaur(?). The Carnisaur is called Grimloq!  :blues:

This doesn't surprise me. GW may protect its' own "intellectual property" with great zeal, but they have no problem with "borrowing" from others. GW's fantasy line, has always, been a little heavy on Tolkien's fantasy background.

Does GW have a copyright on the words "Space Marine?"

I think so, someone else use something like "Space Marine" and had to change it, I forget the exact details.  For a while there, G/W was using names and concepts from then, recent movies - Terminator, Predator, jet bikes, land speeders, Chaos Androids (now Necrons) look like T2s, Genestealers = Aliens, etc., etc. ... I'm sure this is all just coincidence ... :laugh: It's all good !  :D

Don't be surprised when we see commander Optimus Prime?  :laugh:

I was really disappointed when GW wrote Torquemada in as an Inquisition character. The historical Torquemada tortured and murdered thousands of people including whole bunches of my relatives who were Jewish and had been living in Spain for generations. On TMP I commented that I'm expecting to see Stalin and Hitler as eventual GW "hero-characters" as well. We had the usual rash of "defend GW at all costs" people vs. "GW bashers" like me! :D  One guy asked if I play WWII and I do, but I won't play SS or swastikas, only Wehrmacht. I just don't want to do it.

It's just bad taste in my opinion.

I'll take Grimloq any day of the week with a smile!    :)

Oh yeah, saw a video of this on an Playstation2 magazine DVD a month or so ago.. my transformer-loving friend Lewis loved it of course (poor little chap  :;): ), and even talked of selling his X-Box to get a Playstation just for it... madness... :laugh:  lol
