Another two trailers for this. It is looking less like actual Transformers that I recognise, but more like a decent movie! Transformers Trailers |

Has anyone else finally seen this? I dragged my wife to see it last weekend. I was not expecting much, but I really liked it - and I think that I would have liked it even if it was not a Transformers movie and even if I had not been waiting 25 years for one! I am glad that they waited for the technology to catch up with it. The film is quite intense. It does degenerate to cheese on occasion, and there seems to be a bit of confusion about exactly who the audience are - todays kids, or 80s kid! Overall, a good film, very nicely done, that moves along at a good pace and doesnt have slow periods. Opinions? |

* * * SPOILERS * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * * * * SPOILERS * * * I loved the movie, I think it could have been improved if it had focused on either the soldiers story arc or the kids story arc, but never the less it is was legendary. I wanted to hate bumblebee after they changed him from being a VW Beetle, but they were so tongue in cheek with him that I totally forgave it (the first thing you see him do is smack a Beetle with his door and his attempts to help the kid get the girl were hysterical! Prime was awesome, he used his most famous lines, and the only thing missing was the immortal sound of Van Halen playing "You got the touch!" which would have cemented the movie for me. The end fight was a little disappointing purely because Starscream didn't act in character and betray Megatron. |

The rumour is that VW didnt let the Beetle image be used for the movie... I bet that the regret that now! I noticed the 'smack the Beetle' scene as well, but I think that I was the only one in the cinema that got it... making me feel either old, or geeky... or both. ![]() I think that the only characters that I didnt like were Frenzy (who reminded me of a Gremlin!) and Ironhide (who was just a part character played for laughs). I would have preferred it if the story focussed more on the actual Transformers. I am not interested in the human story. Either show me huge robots transforming and fighting... or more of Megan Fox! ![]() ![]() |

I saw it yesterday. It was an entertaining movie. The scene of the Autobots visiting Sam's family house was hilarious ![]() If they ever make sequel (I bet they will) I would love see more character development on the robot's side. "I am Megatron!" - "Yeah, we got it, can you say something else please?" - "No. I am Megatron." |

Take the movie "Armageddon" with Bruce Willis (or "Independence Day" with Will Smith for that matter). - Replace the mission to the asteroid (the mother ship) with the All Spark cube - Exchange the "Super Secret Super Space Shuttle" (5S) Conspiracy (Area 51) with the Hoover Dam Conspiracy - Replace the long, dark haired beauty Liv Tyler with the long, dark haired beauty Megan Fox Otherwise they were like watching the same movie: same look, same feel, same cinematography, same music, same style. Neat movie, worth seeing in the theaters, but I felt like I was watching a different movie. |

I've seen it twice and loved it. Some of the characters didn't seem quite right (before CS mentioned that it was frenzy I thought that they had fragged up Soundwaves) and the voices weren't right. But overall I loved it and can't wait for the sequal. EDIT: I also picture blackouts attack on the US base as how a scout titan attack would be like. A massive bipedial warengine that can't be harmed. |

Hi CS, The early trailers were very... kiddie. The later ones, made for adults, were much better. Still haven't seen the movie. Shalom, Maksim-Smelchak. |

Definately. The film does not assume any prior knowledge of Transformers at all. It is a seperate film, not following on from anything previous. Like any film, it is best to see it in the cinema. That said, a home viewing would be fine for this one, and you wont miss anything. |

I personally think that like the Matrix - this is movie that positively demands the big screen. |
