QUOTE
Her awake means the baby will soon be awake so I spent the night in a toddler bed being kicked in the groin (those feet are at the perfect position to nail me every time). :glare:

LOL, nice to know I'm not alone. The places those little feet get, sheesh!

I'm thankful that Bella has never been a groin kicker. She usually goes for the head.

Wow.  Nice work, Zap.  I have yet to complete my Necron work which makes you clearly the 1st place winner.  You get... SOMETHING.  Lauders? A white plume? :D

I will continue this thread until I'm able to get the Necrons done at least.  This weekend was spent with the outlaws so NOTHING got done. No Epic, no house repairs, nothing.

Actually, I DID almost finish book 2 of The Horus Heresy.  30 pages to go then on to book 3.  I have to admit I have been pleasantly surprised by the quality of both books and am looking forward to the third.

SPOILER ALERT! DO NOT READ UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE BOOKS OR JUST DON'T CARE!! [B]:O

I found an interesting mistake in the books.. At least I think it is a mistake.  Tallarn was supposedly a lush green planet until it is bombed by the forces of Chaos (I haven't read that yet but I know it is coming).  But on page 46 of Book II of the Horus Heresy, the poet refers to a planet as being "dryer than a Tallarn's sandal".

Just an interesting note. :)

Great work guys.
I'm envious, I have got barely few models ready in last two weeks. :(
Also my computer got broken so I haven't been able to post pictures lately.  Hopefully soon.
This painting comp inspires greatly, I really have to paint something when I'm back home. :D

Great looking squats, Zap. I have my work cut out for me to get my Squats done.

This weekend was a bust for me, too, painting-wise. I did get some sorely needed yard work done, taking advantage of the weather. I had Friday off from work, but I spent a good portion of the afternoon at my favorite hobby store which is, sadly, going out of business after 30 years of operation. It's hard to believe the owner has known me since I was 14. He is selling everything at 50% off, but by the time I got there, the walls were picked pretty clean. I picked up a can of primer and 8 jars of GW paint. Fortunately a store near my house that specializes in trains carries Polly S paint. So at least I have somewhere handy to go to get painting supplies.

I did manage to get in about 10 minutes of painting last night. I should have done more, but it's better than nothing.

Now I have to work out what to do next (well....after I finish the Gargant yard).  I have a nice hefty box of classic 'Nids, but one of my regular opponents is mainly a bug player.  I have a 'Uge pile of Orks, but my other regular is an Ork player.  I have a lot of IG ready.  I am inclined to start on my PDF and most of it is bagged up ready, but I don't have the essential Earthsahaker or Mammoth companies sorted yet.  I also need to finish my Exodite/Knight army though I am short a couple of Knights, and I think I now have everything I need to redo my Craftworld Eldar.  While on the Skinny topic, I wouldn't mind doing a Harlequinn Masque too.  I should also flesh out some of the Chaos powers so I can play them as the core of a Chaos army....both Tzeentch and Slaanesh have a few units done, and I have tons of Khorne engines and titans waiting.

Perversely, despite these piles of miniatures ready, I hear the Dark Elves calling...but I do shudder at converting up a 4K NetEpic army.  Where to go?

Hey Zap, I'm hoping to have the Necrons wrapped up by this weekend.  If you want to hold off on your biggest project, maybe we can go for Round II!

What do you think?  Converting an entire Dark Eldar army for Epic or building, painting, and flocking the Tallarn Armored Regiment?

Round 2 sounds good.  I'll just go back to comtemplating what choice.  I also note that I left out a Huge Space Marine force and a Knight household army from my candidate list.....kinda scary really.

Zap, I suggest using the Orks for our little competition.  I think I will do the Dark Eldar.  They have been held off for long enough.

And if you are short knights for the Exodite project PM me which ones you need and I'll see if I have some extras.  I started collecting them for my Lugganath army list and went a little crazy  :p .  I might have a few I can part with.  In fact, you should work on them while I am finishing up my Necrons! I'd love to see that project of yours finished!

As seeing I did such a poor job on round 1, I'll try to do better in round 2 and make some real progress on my Squats. I only have about 18k points to paint.  :p

Well, with that kind of project I would recommend starting early.  Zap and I won't mind. :)
