Well, I figured I might as well start a running post on the disaster zone...err my modeling bits and such. As I don't get much modeling time (it tends to come after work, family, you know) there may be long stretches between updates. So bear with me. {Warning: This topic may stray onto other unintelligible rants and raves from time to time. Please remain calm, and keep your arms and hands inside the car at all times} iblisdrax |

Nope....but you got the genre right. It is from Star Wars. I'll give a tiny hint... there are two different vehicles forming the main chassis. ib oh, and Con? You are not eligible, because you have seen the orginals... |

I'd have said it's Star Wars, but I wouldn't be sure what it is... possibly one of the random toy vehicles they made which didn't appear in the film! I had a sandy-coloured one which folded in half; I always used it as an A-Wing... Anyway, hurry up and put us out of our misery! |

I keep thinking 'Juggernaught' (recently terribly renamed 'turbo tank' for the kiddies toys) and 'Dreadnought cruiser', but I don't think either's it. I'm actually a bit annoyed that I can't place it. ?I had that Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, after all... |

Okay okay.... the suspense is killing me! Firestorm40k came the nearest... these are two of the vehicles released that were never seen in the movies. The treads and bottom chassis are from the MLC-3 mini tank, and the upper portion is the body from the PDT-8 Personal Transport, turned upside down. I've had these since I was little, and even though some would call me heretic for sawing up vintage Star Wars stuff, they fit together too well for me to resist. ? ? ? ?In other news, do you guys think it is scaled about right? ? Supposed to be an Imperator on tracks, remember... ? ib |

Having seen the components first hand, I'd say it will be about right. It will have slightly less height, but more length and width, so should balance out well. BTW, NOT looking forward to seeing it on the table top! I think it would make a much better display piece. |
