The new DRM tanks are out, and who should visit but my old friend indecision.

For starters, there are now three MBTs to choose for Leman Russ'.  Which one?  I've already decided on the Mammoth as a Demolisher, but which of the other two for 'Leman Russ' and 'Leman Russ Vanquisher'?  Bastion for the former, perhaps.  In which case: does anyone want a couple of blisters of Chasseurs? :p

I've been thinking about IG skimmers, too.  Valkyries aren't much of a problem, but I haven't pinned down Vultures.
CAV Ghasts are good, but too streamlined (as if that was a bad thing! :laugh: ).  A sense of loyalty and easier ordering is making me reappraise the DRM Lance Hoverscout, though it might fit better with the CAV Badger, stylistically. (I guess the actual Valkyrie and Vulture minis have trained me to think the two should have similarities in design)  Then there's the DRM Piranha, which has an appealing profile, IMO; but I'm not fond of the circular rotor piece and I'm not sure if a mini designated as 'flyer' could or should be drafted into the E:A 'skimmer' role. :)  Again, my lack of knowledge of RL military is a stumbling block.
Fourth and last choice is - shock horror! - the Vulture mini from GW. :p

Agree! And Not!

Can never have too many, but I'll limit myself to 6mm Sci-fi G/W-F/W, DRM, E/Wars and who ever makes the [best] Slammers in 6mm!!! (GZG !?!?!) :D ?

$$$, Time & Space... all have limitations! :alien:
(my new fav emo!) :)

And Vermis, please feel free to ask me anything about RL military stuff (and Sci-fi interface!)! I served 10? years as an Infantry Officer... and read all the Slammers stuff in print! :D ?:alien:

As far as skimmers vs. aircraft (if that's your "Q"?)...

Skimmers are more like helos and aircraft like fighter/bombers, IMO.

We use T/Hawks like Choppers for example. And "Flyers" for CAS... Does that help? LMK! :D

That's what I suspected, but it's a moot point since I went and ordered a few hoverscouts (and Bastions) anyway. :;):

Thanks L4!

There won't ever be too many proxies!  And since I can't yet proxy Tyranids or Necrons, I'd say we have a ways to go.

Hi Javelin,
for Necrons, I found the Andrayads from DRM to do a grand job:
troops = Nec warriors
heavy weapons = Immortals
Scouts = Flayed Ones
Lords = well, Lords!  :p
The Vertex Drop ship would make a grand Monolith, but it's slightly too big - perhaps one of the WEs?
Vita fighters = Obelisks
Hubries = tomb spiders

I think I know what you mean.  It's not so much that there are too many proxies, but too many choices.

You need to look at each one in person and decide which is going to be the one you like best.

I know cash can sometime be a limiting factor.  That's where the boards come in.  Pre arrange with someone to take them off you hands if you decide they aren't what you want.

Good choices there, Van !  One of The good thing about DRM & E/W is that they can be used for Epic, or those games or any 6mm Sci-fi ! :D

Consider it arranged! LOL :)

I love used minis... nothing like recycling.
