For those that missed it, I just checked Black Gobbo and there is an Eldar painting guide that includes paint schemes for lots of Craftworlds. It has the big 5, 2 that I'd heard of before and 10 that I'd never seen or heard of before. For reference: ========= Craftworld: Nacretine? Primary color: white Secondary color: medium blue and bone Craftworld: Altansar Primary color: Red (purplish) Secondary color: Black Craftworld: Stel-Uit Primary color: Dark Green Secondary color: Grey and White Craftworld: Il-Kaithe Primary color: Green Secondary color: Purple Craftworld: Zahr-Tann Primary color: Brown Secondary color: Black Craftworld: Biel-Tan - Swordwind Sylvanos Primary color: Khaki Secondary color: Dark Green (as opposed to white/green as normal) Craftworld: Lugganath Primary color: Bright Red/Scarlet Secondary color: Black Craftworld: Aringhe Primary color: Maroon Secondary color: Silver Craftworld: Iybraesil Primary color: Med blue (dusty blue) Secondary color: White and Grey Craftworld: Arach-Qin Primary color: Black Secondary color: Bone and Purple (Looks a lot like Ulthwe) Craftworld: Tir-Val Primary color: Purple Secondary color: Yellow Craftworld: Yme-Loc Primary color: Grey Secondary color: Orange (per the background, red in the pics) Pics |

Thanks for the info, Neal. Out of curiosity, which of these Craftworlds have detailed background for them. Craftworld: Iyanden Craftworld: Saim-Hann Craftworld: Alaitoc Craftworld: Ulthw? Craftworld: Biel-Tan ...are the ones I am familiar with (and the only ones that I know of that have an Epic Army List). Are there any other distinguishing characteristics of the other craftworlds that would make their army compositions differentiate from these five? |

If I remember correctly Altansar is the craftworld of the original Dark Reaper shrine. Which was thought destroyed but got recovered during the Eye of Terror campaign. Oh and Yme-Loc is grey and orange, they hunt down chaos. |

Mosc: I think most of them are just recent creations without specific background like a lot of the SM chapters. Apparently some are pictured in the new Codex but no details. Lugganath Craftworld is mentioned in some of the older Titan Clan background info - almost destroyed by daemons, saved by the heroic efforts of their titan clan. If you wanted to do an Iyanden-style Spirit Warriors + Titans for a walker theme, that would be a good one. I had forgotten about Altansar until Ratty's post, but he's correct on that as well as on Yme Loc. Ratty: Is the Yme Loc color info from background material? I changed the description in the first post but the picture has them as a scarlet red/gray and the paint color they used is blood red. |

The new Eldar codex is really pretty good. It's much like a Fantasy army book, where it gives you a unit description and all the rules on one page, and then the army list just has the bare bones stuff (points cost, maybe a few upgrades) on another page (with a reference to the big unit description's page #). Supposedly, that's what they're changing all the 40k codices to look like (keeping my fingers crossed that it's true, but we'll see with the DA codex this spring). |

Sort of not Epic, but related to the thread topic... Are there female Guardian minis for 40K? I know there are classic/OOP models but something I ran across online made me think there might be current production female models. Can anyone confirm/deny? |

I may take a crack at the Lugganath craftworld. It would certainly be fun to try to put together another craftworld list that is distinct yet balanced. Thanks for the suggestion, Neal! |

The guardian sprue does have the chest piece for female guardians, this is used for the guardian defenders storm and older dire avengers. Pretty sure it's still in place for the current defenders and storm guardians. It's the 1999 sprue. |
