You might see a lot of these from me: half-started, rarely-finished projects. ?But that's just part of what makes me so idiosyncratic and charming. :p

So, here's an initial and very quick idea:

Not for the first time, and most likely not for the last, I find myself wishing I knew something about firearms. ?Even sci-fi ones.
Unfortunately most of those details won't show up at 6mm. ?The upshot is that most of those details won't show up at 6mm. ?I'd be the first to admit some look dodgy. ?The stock of the gun, e.g., is too obviously based on the head of a femur.

Feedback and suggestions are not only welcome: they're required. ?Especially with regard to futuristic weapons, and whether or not I can find coiled guitar strings that thin. ?Ta!

The Hammer Slammers Handbook pt.1 has some good pics and details of futuristic small arms ...  But to get an idea of ultra -modern weapons -  type in H&K's G11  !  :D

Nice drawing, really terminator/necron like. Though I must say that if it is going to be 6mm, it will be pretty brittle.

Great drawing Vermis, Not so good on weapons meself though L4's suggestion looks like a good one though more human oriented.
Going to be fun sculpting as daemonknight points out, can't wait to see the results.

Looks awesome! But to echo the others, it would be a proper mission to sculpt - come on guys, if that isn't a challenge what is :p.

The other consideration is that it needs to be castable too.

Ta!

L4: Ta again. ?At the very least, it's shown me that blocky guns can look good. :;):

Daemonknight, Netepic: Indeed! ?This is only a jumping-off point - a roughly 1:1 representation rather than 1:268 (6mm according to TMP's scale page) ?Limbs and things will need to made thicker; and like I say, that amount of detail isn't going to happen.

Also, something I didn't bother to upload: a few very rough ideas for simple poses. ?Imagine the plane of the page is the plane between two halves of a mould. :;):

If I sculpt a few, I might just stick with advancing or firing poses. ?'Posing' poses don't seem to suit the robotic undead.

So - if no-one has any major objections to this (If I'm to have a serious go at this, and if TacWargamers agree it could be shipped off to Eureka Minis, I want to make sure it's something that TacWargamers and others would want to use) - I'll have another go at the gun and try to get something started soon.
