Hi,

I'm going as should be atleast a few others. Over the past couple of years this has been one of the more popular events. It is well run and the Epic players are all friendly. A tournament run in the right atmosphere.

I'm coming, as well as one other from my club to play.

I'll be Ork (standard), Rich will be bring IG.

OpenWar is a great tournament (helped greatly that I live but quarter an hour away by car), was going to try get LatD added to the army lists - but I never got round to painting it up/ebaying for a full 3k points; orks it is then.

It should be good, but the way things are looking I'll have moved to France by then, so not likely! :(

I hope that it goes well and everyone has a great time - and see if you can convert some of these 40k players to Epic! :;):

You'll have to get your French Tournament arranged then.

But be quick the wife is already talking about Spain in 2008 ?:p

Talk is for Northern Spain. Any good?

How about an Easter get together. I'll have a chat with the Missus. Your place wouldn't be able to provide Broadband access would it?

We hope to be up & running by Easter, and we will (hopefully) have broadband - apparently it's been put in this month at the village where we'll be living.

Better get making some terrain & gaming boards, too... :D

Guessing the cost would include accomodation?

4 in a car by ferry or train sounds do-able to me.

It's the Dordogne, kind of down towards the South-west, but not right down there (if you get what I mean!).  The village is called Sarlande.

Mephiston, yep the cost would include accomadation, plus breakfast (if its in the B&B rooms) & a buffet lunch.  I can't say more about it till we get things up and running.

If you're planning to train it, I guess Eurostar to Paris then train to St Yrieix-la-Perche (nearest station) is best.  By car I think getting a ferry to near Caen would be better - if you take the Chunnel to Calais it's a 8 hour-ish journey down, so probably not the most practical option!  Finally, there are two Airports within 90mins car journey - Limoges and Bargerac, and you can fly to these from Stanstead, Liverpool, Leeds Bradford, or East Midlands (I think).

Okay, rather than take over this thread for Open War 6, if anyone has any other questions about this I guess it's best to pm or e-mail me!
