Can't say more than the title states.  Had my last exam today.  Had mixed feelings about it - one minute wanting to yell at the top of my lungs with joy, the next feeling down and thinking 'so, what now?'  Of course, it doesn't help that NONE of my job applications have had any success.  Honestly, even if you have the qualifications and the experience, when it comes to the charity sector it seems it's not what you know...  ???

Anyway, I'm especially over joyed because, for the first time in three weeks, I get to MAKE & PAINT SOME MINIS!!!!!!  :D

I know a few of the EpiCommers are planning a June project day, but tomorrow I am shutting myself upstairs and doing NOTHING apart from painting my miniatures... got an Epic Guard army to finish for Call to Arms, and a 40k Inquisition army to get painted for the summer's Medusa Campaign...

I am SOOOO looking forward to getting back to my hobby... bleedin assignments and revision... still, none of that to worry about now!

Just thought I'd share in my glee, anyway...  Best of luck/commisserations to anyone else on here finishing off school/uni work!  :)

Hooray! A BIG Congratulations, fire! :D

Unless you really need to be employed right away, I wouldn't worry too much about not having a job yet. A lot of college grads don't find a real job for a while. Besides, as you said, it gives you time to work on minis.

Wow, congratulations!

>>Honestly, even if you have the qualifications and the experience, when it

This is true in most real jobs. I know most of my success has been because of my contacts and not because I have a great r?sum?.

>>Anyway, I'm especially over joyed because, for the first time in three weeks,
>>I get to MAKE & PAINT SOME MINIS!!!!!!  :D

Enjoy!

What sector are you aiming to get into (charity sector - but what bit?)?

Yeah, congratulations Firestorm, hope you've done well. Hit the pubs - any which way this calls for alcohol! A good feeling, I remember it... Doing the PhD thing myself, but I'm a long way off finishing... Don't forget to get some Epic ITF painting done if you can (we need to finish that list at some point!)

After I hit the Masters I swore never to return. :O

I admire those who can do it. But the Student Loads were already too large for me to live with. :(

Good luck in your future effrots as well.

Thank you all for your kind wishes!  :D  I am quite relieved it's all over, I was getting hacked off with it towards the end.

@Dwarf Supreme - I will have time for painting minis   but I've accumulated quite a bit of student debt so I'll be doing some temping work for the time being.  Hopefully...  :80:

@TheRealChris - my degree's in International Development Studies, so I'd like to work for a development charity as a campaigns officer.

@ Javeln98 - I can't see me doing a PHD for some time - or a masters, for that matter!  Like Darfrca, the debt bit of it has put me off study for a while...

@ Lord Inquisitor - I totally lost track of the ITF list when I got back to uni, that and trying to paint my backlog of minis... mind you, I've still got that Drop Fortress I made and plan to make an Inquisitor & retinue formation.  At some point...

@ dptdexys - I shall look forward to seeing you, and as many EpiCommers as possible, at Call to Arms.  Just got to finish my Imperial Guard army...  :(8:

It makes it hard because once they start to expect repayment, it sucks on your money like a ton of Ticks.

I finished my BS degree, went to work for a few years to pay down the loans, then returned to school for my Masters.

That was the only way I could do it.

Now with Kids, a Wife, a House, and the job I have, I do not see myself going back ever again.
