Saw these on the DRM newsletter and instantly thought of the Eldar Exodites. ?It says there are going to be variations of the riders too, so if anyone is feeling brave...

Yup, there's two variants.
Each is unique sculpt of both Rakkat (big lizard) and rider.

I'll be getting more pics up, of both models, on The Mercenary Brush later today  :D

I thought exactly the same thing!

There's no picture of the second variant yet but I'm sure it will be great.

yeah, me too, but at 5 pounds for 2 it's going to be one expensive company.  :/   I hope there's a smaller, more numerous cousin on the way.

I think it is funny that you guys are surprised. :D

It is clear he is doing the things people have wanted for a long time and could not get from the other company. Good for him! And Good for DRM!

"Clear" it may be, but happy coincidence it actually is!
And thats not just cooporate waffle to cover DRMs back - the Rakkat Riders were designed based on the Kraytonian style & character of the race, not on a need for proxies anywhere else, not that we're complaining that they have many uses!!

I havent finished the update yet, so there's nothing on my news page about it, but the multi angled pictures of the Rakkat Riders (both types) are now on my site HERE

Wow- yet more great figures produced by DRM!!

Tuff- any chance you can do 1-2 pictures of close ups of the riders themselves. Might be my monitor/contact lenses but I can't see them too clearly.

Cheers

James

Another round of applause for the DRM's latest release of outstanding minis. I would have sworn that the Rakkat Riders were purposely created to be proxies for Exodites. I love coincedences like this. :D
