Hadn?t really thought about it, but I?m working on a Saim-hann army at the moment and some would really come in useful.

Just I saw an e-bay auction recently where there were some very nicely painted Saim-hann Jetbikes, but unless the guy?s painting freehand was phenomenally good I?d swear he?d used transfers.

PS. if they do exist and anyone happens to have any I would be willing to pay reasonable amounts of money to acquire some (PM me or something!).

I used the small one on the old G/W sheets that came out  about the SM2 era ...  Where you can get them ?!   Try here, or Barteretown ...   :)

Used to come in a blister pack with about 5 sheets...not an Epic specific product IIRC, but there were plenty of small glyphs that worked on Epic scale stuff.  You used to get one decal sheet in the boxed Titan sets too.

You can also make your own transfers with blank decal sheeting (can buy it from Walthers, the mini train company).  Just need to make sure you print on a really good laser printer to get the quality.

On my Raven Guard I actually printed the logos and symbols on thin paper and then stuck them on - worked really well too! Got a very good inkjet printer - an IP5000 - that prints with 1 picolitre droplets (the most detailed available printing when I bought it and as far as I know still now), so I can get away with it.

Transfers are thinner though and probably would work better on the rounded Saim-hann canopies and as I'll be wanting a combination of a black V underneath and then a white Saim-hann snake on top. To print onto transfers would I definitely need a Laser printer as opposed to an Inkjet? Not sure how much a decent Laser printer would cost, guess I could go out and buy one, but it probably would be easier to get hold of existing GW transfers if there are any, even if they are out of print.

If anyone has any of the sheets can you tell me whether there are any wild rider symbols (two white Saim-hann style snakes criss-crossing) on there too at all? If it's just the basic craftworld symbols then I'll probably have to leave it as I'll need them too really. In which case I could either maybe buy a new printer or possibly look into getting some printed by some kind of printing company or something.

Still got a load more models to buy for the army and the majority of it to put together, all at a fairly slow pace, so I won't be needing anything anytime soon, but might as well try and get something sorted, particularly if I'm going to have to try and get hold of some OOP transfers...

There are systems out there for ink jet printed decals, consisting of special decal paper and a fixative (aerosol spray). ?Usually somewhat expensive, but I have had decent results from "Supercal". ?Not a bad alternative if you have a good ink jet and can't get to a colour laser. ?The other good thing is one sheet goes a long way for Epic decals ?:)

Probably easiest to find this sort of thing at a good model shop or similar.

Well, an alternative to buying a printer is to go to FedEx Kinkos and just rent one of their computers.  Make sure that the computer you are using is tied to their laser printer.

I pulled my decal sheets out.  It reads...

Walthers Decal Line, Decal Paper, Matte Finish, 8 1/2 x 11 (4 pack).  Haven't had any problems with it.  I think it cost me $8 US.

Good luck with whatever you choose to go with.

If you insist on a GW product, check out this auction. ?N.B. I am not affiliated with the auction in any way... I'm just trying to be helpful.
