Just noticed that the epic range has been subjected to a stealth price increase (first I've heard of it anyway). All the ?8 blisters are now ?9.

WEll after the release of F/Orks in Feb-Mar ?!?!  We won't have to worry about prices as that will most likely be their last Epic army !  And then we can all buy DRM ! :D

What of the following is the thing most likely to happen?
1) Sun rising in the morning
2) Congressmen voting for a pay raise for themselves or
3) GW increasing their already way overbloated prices...

What a terrific idea. In time maybe we'll release an addition to our miniatures range after months delays... but first let's up the price for our current stuff to keep our allready disgruntled customer base happy.

Christ GW... You just really suck...

Cheers! :)

Well, at least they're making Doug very happy; his customer base is bound to increase with decisions like this.

Welcome to the ranks of the uber-disgruntled WMN
Why do you think I've turned to VSF with such passion over the last year?

Wonders will never cease.

I would love to know what course the GW Marketing Department went on. Surely the above decision would be foolish even after sitting only first class of Marketing 101!!

???

Cheers

James

They took "How to Screw Your Customers 101."

As if the some of the epic minis weren't already overpriced.    This is why I haven't bought any new epic minis yet.

Hi Guys,

The good thing is that if GW pushes its limits long enough and lose enough business, they may eventually change SOME of their business policies which displease much of the Epicomms community... just maybe... :;):

I'm not holding my breath though.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Oddly enough I was talking to a few of my former clients/retailers here in Western Canada who stock GW in depth over the holidays and they all said that GW sales are down for them. Every single one of them in a half dozen different cities.

And in one case down by a very noticable 30% from the previous year. And 2004 was down from 2003 for most of them as well so it appears to be snow-balling.

I think we may very well have actually reached the point where GW has managed to price themselves out of their market.

Having said that it'll probably take till 2008 before they manage to figure that out for themselves. Freaking idjits...

I know one thing that can help GW's bottom line: chuck the sales sinkhole known as LOTR.

As far as I'm concern, GW has had a pricing issue for at least 10 years. They haven't changed before and I hardly expect them to change at all in the future.
