For this competition I?m looking for articles by Epic players that discuss and advise on how to select your army. Note this is a different style of article from the tactics on the field type area and is more focussed on choosing and building your army composition before you actually set a model down on the table.

The article can be about general army building principles or about a specific race and its units.

The closing date for this competition is the 9th of January 06. Two runners up will get a Titan of their choice and the winner will get a 2,000 point army from the current Epic range.

Oh dear, that's one I'd better not enter... Titans with all sorts of weird attachments, mega -cannon -armed Warlords, large-light beasties...:( :p

This sounds almost too good to be true for me.

I will admit that I spend alot of time staring at army lists or flicking through army books playing around with combinations. Now I have an excuse to talk about it :)

Never know if nobody else enters I might win.

Heh.  I missed this thread first time around.

I've also already written a "theming" article on how to build a Bad Moon Ork army.  I suppose I'll have to go edit it up and send it in...

Hahahahaha!

If you win order a siegemasters army - do you have any idea how much they cost?!?! (I bought 5000 points, but it is 20 pound per 125 point infantry company for Christs sake!).

Oh - and if forgeworld is included of course order a Tau army :)

I imagine you won't have a choice on the army... probably it will be a Feral Ork army selected by SG.

Well, sent my submission in. Now if everyone else is too lazy to write something and mail it in, that 2000 pt army is in the bag! ;)
