I just found out about Epic at Britcon, (as was posted here, should have checked in more often!), but was told by a Britcon staffer yesterday that there was "no interest whatsoever", and so was struck from the event! ?? -bolt |

I'm sorry to hear that. I'm also kind of surprised. |

Hi! I'd bet it has to do more with no one selling epic at teh trade section. Why would a convention cede valuable space on the convention floor to a game no dealer is selling when they could promote a game dealers sell and thus make money? At least that would be my rational if I were the convention organizers. Primarch |

I just spoke to the organisers some more about this. They say NOBODY even enquired about Epic at Britcon. Apparently, I was the first. The whole point of introducing new games/blood to their competion list is to sell more table space, so that they can bring in more traders, all of which will bring in more bodies with dosh, making the whole event bigger and more exciting. Looks like we missed our chance to have it part of the line up and introduce it to hundreds of other rabid gamers. -bolt |

Doesn't suprise me, for as few years now I have been trying to run an Epic demonstration game at GamesDay, but no one seems interested... Actually it's more no one seems to know who is running the day... Didn't bother this year. |

Hi! If the company that creates it doesnt bother, how can you expect anyone to take it seriously? I suppose GW never asks logical questions, their head would hurt to much to anser them. ![]() Primarch |

Some tribes believed that if you eat your enemy, you gained their power by their souls joining with yours. So the thought crosses my mind, if we ate GW, what Chaos God would burst from our bodies? dafrca |

I think it would depend on who got to eat what sections ![]() (1) Those that ate CEOs would be getting the short end of the deal as they would lose all their business sense, we would be better served if we put them in charge of building maintenace were they could cause the least damage. (2) Those that ate the Heavy Metal team would become better orgainized, and inherit a lot of patience, we should put them in charge of the various forums and complaint departments. (3) Those that ate the terrain makers would become full of imagination, but incapable of dealing with people directly because all of their imagination revolves around inanimate objects. They would be perfect in mail order, where they don't have to act directly with people. (4) Those that ate the members of the computer department would gain the ability to think clearly in binary, but unable to see the obvious. We should make them the heads of the rules layout and printing department. (5) Those that ate the figure designers will get not only imagination, but an ability to see people for what they are, unfortunatly only on the outside. Seems like sales and legal departments should be their new home. (6) Those that ate the building maintenance crew would get the ability to accomplish the impossible with nothing, despite being told what to do by those that have no clue, and who themselves are incapable of leading. These should be our new CEOs (7) Those that ate the game designers would gain the ability to design really fun games, but will also become incapable of winning those same games. So I volunteer all my good gaming freinds to eat the designers and then, of course, we leave them to design the games while I help them playtest them. This organization couldn't be any worse then the present version. Jaldon ![]() |
