Not to start a debate, but for those interested, USSC Justice Sandra Day O'Connor announced her retirement an hour or so ago.
It will likely precipitate a political bloodbath that both sides have spent many years preparing for.
It'll be interesting...

Love the idea of a sane process like Bush said today, just didn't believe him for one second. 
Both sides will turn it into a circus. 
Too bad too, because they have shown not always does the Judge keep voting the way the party that puts them in wants.

We're probably best off leaving political discussion off board...
A number of us have VERY different politics and this kind of discussion can head nowhere but to grief.

One last comment and then I will let this thread die.
For all the strife and silly behavior of the American political system, I would rather put up with the weeks of over dramatized news coverage then give the system up for some other form of government.
