I wonder whether the absurd price rises have finally caught up with them? Nahhh, probably not. People are still crazy. Myself included.

Shares in Games Workshop closed down 213.5 pence at 502.5 pence.
Wow, that's a quite a drop...
30% drop
ouch
Well it's obvious why.
They stopped selling Fanatic stuff in the shops.
Actually the shops have seemed less busy recently.
Though the reality is that they are selling more this year than they did last year.... it's just their profits which are down.

Actually they are down 37% now, Doug has been keeping me updated on the share value for the past week. 37% lost in 2 days... harsh.
They won't learn - they will try and ride the storm.

It's all artificial anyway. "The firm said it was "unlikely" to meet a sales target of between ?151m-?162m for the year". So they're "unlikely" to achieve an arbitary target a bean counter somewhere set. They're still hauling in millions of pounds...
Yeah, i know, the stock market rules the world and so on.

Hi!
Some newer threads on this have said they dont expect to meet 2004 expectations either, although they are confortable to exceed 2003 levels.
We'll see how they react ot all this and what the final result is.

Hi!
If they would only "wake up" and be the GW of old. The company can make profit AND be a gamer friendly company....

They are too big for them to go back to a gamer friendly atmosphere...too much restructuring in the upper level thought processes..it is easier for them to simply go on as before.

You have to keep in mind that shares frequently drop drastically after quarter figures are released...Or after other news or press releases although in this case it's probably the quarter figures...they'll climb again soon (just not as fast as they drop)...

Primarch | That is right, look at all the sales they lost from you. Not to mention the losses from me and all the other Primarchs in training.
They have hurt their bottom line by ignoring our need to build our hordes.

It'd be nice if the Archives returned... but with the way Epic is going, I think the upcoming Feral Orks will be the last big (?) release. We may see occasional bitz and pieces (CI ?!), but I doubt we'll ever see Tau or Necrons, let alone Chaos and 'NIDs ? If anyone hears, otherwise let us know ...
