Just wondering (as I can't be bothered to get on with my work and I'm bored)...
Do people have loads to paint but still find themselves buying things?
I'm trying to ban myself from ebay (with no luck) and find myself buying loads of stuff. I'm at the point where I have cupboard full of stuff to paint that will probably last me several years, but I'm still buying stuff. Is this standard human behavoir to hoard stuff?

Yes. I have hundreds of thousands of points worth of Epic stuff 99% of which is unpainted. I have a 3rd edition WFB Empire army in the 5000 pts range 100% unpainted. I have a Firstborn Chronopia army 100% unpainted. Warmaster Empire, Chaos and High Elf armies 100% unpainted.
I think I could go on for 10 years just trying to paint what I already have, and I'm still buying... and I don't have the money either.
Besides, everyone knows what happens if you ever paint all your minis

You have just described me completely! I dont know what it is but I cant stop buying, even getting minis that I already have (you can never have enough!). One day, I will get all of the unpainted stuff and take a picture or two. I have so much that there is a lot that I have never even opened thepacks for! For Epic alone it is too much. I think that it is a natural hording mentality. One day, I will make a fortune, retire and spend endless days painting, playing and designing web sites about wargames.

Gosh, I must be on the wrong forum , most of my stuff is painted, or in the process of, and no reserves at all (well except for the 76th scale WW2 stuff that is). Does that mean I'm the only one legit in gaining extras?

Sighs! Oh, only around 10 WHFB armies, 7 WH40K armies, 1 Warmaster army, 4 Man o'War fleets, 4 BFG fleets, 4 Blood Bowl teams, 2 Necromunda gangs and 7 Epic armies left to go...

After the way the xii legion performed in the last battle I'm tempted to strip the paint of 1 in 10 and send them to you
Have the beastmen arrived yet? Cheers.

Let's see what I have unpainted...
A large Tyranid army (aprox 10 sprues of troops), 6 titans and loads of other metal Tyranid stuff including around 12 of those puny Hive Tyrants.
At least 8 new sprues of Eldar, and probably around 10 of the old sprues. Loads of new and old tanks too. A few unpainted Knights.
IG - loads of tanks, but probably only around 4 sprues of troops. Although I think I have one of those old box of 10 sprues half painted.
Chaos - Half of the 20 odd old stype sprues painted. And got 12 of the new style sprues to use (kept track of these by the amount of Berserkers I've got for the World Eaters ). Loads of metal stuff.
Orks - as most already painted, I have around 5 of the new sprues. Around 3 unpainted Titans and a hand full of tanks.
SM - Probably only around 3 unpainted sprues. Shed loads of Rhinos and other plastic tanks.
Loads of Titans.
oops... forgot, around ?175 worth of Tau Resin which I had a play with the troops and not too happy about these. Broke one of the legs while trying to clean one up. And washing them in soapy water... the hassle...
A few BFG ships, but trying to convert these.
A few boxes of 40K Eldar, Tau, SM and Tyranids.
phew...
