A bit disappointed when I finally got the grey knights and that's not because one of the blades were broken. Considering all the talk that FW vehicles are larger than the GW ones, I thought it'd be true for the grey-knights too (not too fussed about the Tau at the moment). Although the details are amazing, the grey knights in power armour seems smaller than the GW troops. ![]() What are people's thoughts on these? |

My thought is that I'm still waiting for a reply on my two missing GK termies, and the filing of a fraud complaint is nearer and nearer ![]() I'm VERY disappointed with FW; a really bad experience overall. I was planning to buy a Tau army eventually, but there's no way in hell I'm sending sizable amounts of money to someone who doesn't guarantee delivery. |

I'm sorry to hear that, I only had extremely positive experiences with FW so far, with a sizable amount of large orders done and always received promptly and in good shape. Only problem I had was a missing bunker in the defence line, and they corrected that quickly. |

I have mixed experiences. Generally the stuff I've recieved has been good. However I've had many problems with worn out moulds. Particularly for buildings, Super Heavy Tanks and IG vehicles. If only had a single case of missing components: The death spinner array on a Eldar Night spinner. Never got arrround to complaining about that one because I allready had two other complaints with GW going. Customer service can be a mixed experience depending on who is answering the mail (which can also be a bit delayed every now and then.) At times I too have experienced no response at all to complaints. I once recieved a large order where 75% of the models were very poorly cast. FW did offer to replace them but only if I returned the models I didn't like. When I asked if I would get a refund for the shipping costs back to the UK (which were some ?15 ish) I recieved no reply even after re-sending the mail a couple of times. Basically FW is a bit of a gamble. I generally tend to order new stuff as soon as it gets out to avoid models from worn out moulds. It has workeed pretty well untill now. I had a Gargantuan Squiggoth on pre-order when it was released. A month or so later I ordered two more. When I recieved then there was a considerable difference in the quality of the cast. Cheers! ![]() |

Why does FW use Resin? Is this the reason for the quality of the figures? |

Maguns, I think you get better support if you call them than if you email. I've had to call FW once to check why I'd only had half my order (my fault for ordering near Games Day UK, most stuff had been packed for transport to the Black Planet), and the guy on the phone was quick to find out what was going on. Give them a call, and have your order number ready so they can check what you ordered against what you received. |

I've thought about this, but I'm not a native English speaker and I'm rather esitant to talk on the phone in a foreign language. Still, if by Monday I don't get a reply, I'll have to resort to it. Still very bad customer care, IMO. You can't really expect someone from a non-english speaking country to phone you, so why advertise "we'll ship everywhere!" if you are not going to give a decent level of support.... |

its always a shame to hear such things regarding FW, not because I am a fan boy or anything but more because I havent yet had a bad experience with them. I normally order large and there have been some embarrassing cases where I have not checked the order correctly and find something missing from an order from 2 or more months and they have been ok. Gamesday this year there was a mistake regarding my eldar titan and it was returned because the lady couldnt find it and they all wondered why I had taken half the order and not the main piece. However that was quickly sorted including the missing Valkyries. I have never sent an email and found that putting a name to calls if ever needed means you have someone who is responsible for your query should it go wrong. As for casting only some of the kroot I recieved on a later batch needed a lot of stuff taken of but nothing serious. Maybe I get the luck of the draw there. Only complaint really is that sometimes its difficult to paint a mini that rejects paint even after rinsing in warm soapy water!! Grey Knights for me have really been impressive although I havent checked out the scale bit. I take for granted the difference between GW and SG and leave it at that. I am more than happy with what I get especially at those prices. If the quality is poo can be really disappointing so I can really sympathise there. |

Ok, just received an email from FW stating they're sending a pack of replacement GK my way ASAP. I just hope I'll receive them before moving in Rome, otherwise knowing the italian mail system I can kiss those goodbye. Still, credit where credit is due; it took them almost a week, but at least they replied ![]() I'm relieved about this. |

Theoretically, yes. In practice, it's rather erratic... |

My wife received my FW Christmas present yesterday, and it was not as good as my previous orders : - the quality on some pieces (Tau Crisis and Broadside suits mostly) I find very lacking. It seems that the infantry and armored suits in the Tau range could afford a new mould. - my Tigersharks are lacking their Ion Cannons. Looking at the official forum, it seems that the problem exists for several people, so it looks like a glitch in the packaging process for this specific model The rest of the order was fine, though (one Orca dropship which is a superb mini, a handful of Devilfishs, some BFG ships) |

This morning there was a FW package in the mail... the replacement GKs are here ![]() One of them has a broken weapon (the same one as the other two packs.. clearly that model is too fragile), but as I now have 25 unbroken ones I'll finally be able to complete my detachment ![]() It's good to know I can place more orders with FW, after all. |
