Hi all, I've been around ebay since the 27th of October, and I've managed to win 6 auctions - nothing spectacular, but not bad, I guess, and it means I'll be away from the bay for the time being. My latest win's just come in - what appears to have been an Eldar army in progress: there's loads of stuff in a cardboard box, well packed for shipping, with cardboard partitions made for the troops. Someone loved this army, and even sent a copy of the core rules of EA and army rules from the EA site, spiral bound with the title carefully written on the front. It seems that they took care of this army, and had plans for it, and I can't help feeling a bit sad they sold it. I guess I'm a sentimental old sod ... ? ![]() In fact I'd bought this lot for the vehicles and Wraithlords, planning to trade the guardians and aspect warriors, but now I'm going all soft over these guys and will probably end up keeping them. Oh well, I guess I needed reinforcements, anyway. And I've nabbed: 3 of the old Nightwings 2 old Fire prisms 2 Warphunters 2 old Wave Serpents (I always wanted a pair of these old clogs) 2 new Wave Serpents 1 new Falcon (my only Falcon, as I use the plastic ones for conversions) 10 plastic Falcons (I've got plans for these too) a few weapons platforms 10 Wraithlords 8 eggy war walkers several Gurdians a few stands of Harlequins, Aspect Warriors and Warlocks and Wraithguard. I'm pleased with them, even though shipping from the States was a bit pricey, but I'm still a bit sad that what was obviously a collection-in-progress was cut short. At least I might now be able to field a second Titan with my troops... ? ![]() |

A nice collection there, but I feel your sentiments. I have never had that before. Especially when you have everything all printed out. Still its gone to a good home ![]() |

Congrats, Vanvlak, a nice collection there. And I agree, it is sad to see a much loved army sold like that, I really don't understand why. However the worst for me was coming across an e-bay army sale from a guy a couple of miles down the road, if only I'd known, I could have given him a few games and maybe he wouldn't have had to sell at all ![]() |

Sad, but nice haul. A friend at my club brought a whole pile of epic bits for sale as his friends house was getting reprosesed and needed the money ![]() By the time I arrived there was only a selection of Eldar left ![]() Mind you I think I can convert some vipers in to tetras ![]() |

Not sure yet ![]() It skims and has a crew, the hack and slash and I'm sure it will do as a proxy until FW deceid to make one and steal all my money ![]() I sat there with a sharp knife but have not had the guts to make the first incision ![]() Making a Moray is the priority as I want to try one out against the Orks and Eldar...He he Cheers. |
