Every year, I try to make a list of Goals I want to accomplish in the following year with my wargaming hobby. It is nothing to intense and helps guide my decisions about money and time as I go through the year. I took a look back at my list, and evaluated my progress in July, and now that it is the end of the year it is time to look at it again! https://bloodandspectacles.blogspot.com ... eview.html Overall, this was a good year for my hobby, even if my typical Peak Season in Novemebr through March has not really panned out that way yet. I got to play a lot more games than I have in the past, finished some of my own writing projects, and picke dup a game or too. When I turn to the Painting and modelling front things fall down. Oh well! Here are some game shots.... Blood Bowl ![]() All Quiet on the Martian Front ![]() Force-on-Force/Tomorrow's War ![]() So, how about you? How was your year? Did you get a lot done? What was a stand-out moment? |

Hi! This was a glorious year for the primarch projects. New painters added and several projects closer to the finish line. While it did not quite complete the "acquisition phase", it came so close that it will be done by early 2018. The amounts of metal showing up to my door this year were enought add "industrial" type shelves to my hobby room to keep all of it on. Awesome year overall for my epic hobby! Primarch |

Well I set loads of goals but they shifted massively over the year. However I did get some things done I wanted - assembled and undercoated all my 6mm forces (20k SM, 20k IG, 10k of Titans) - vast amount of 6mm terrain (10 objectives, 15 ruined buildings) - assembled and undercoated 3 armies for Bolt Action (Russian, US Airborne, Panzergrenadiers) - fully painted armour for the above armies - assembled a full SM chapter for 40k although it’s light on vehicles - assembled my WHFB dwarf army. - built a load of 28mm terrain (hills, buildings, ruins, hedge rows) - managed to play approx 2 games a month - mix of Epic, Bolt Action, BFG, blood bowl, shadow war, few other random games |

My year was mostly successful. My goal was to complete my knight army this year and I just have basing to finish on four models sometime before the 31st. I also got a few other bits done in between. Oh... And we had our first kid today. |
