Hi!

Saw it on CNN last night. Given his condition he lasted a long while. He had a good run.

RIP

And he was more than Superman.

I was very sad. :(

As much as I liked him as an actor, I admired him more as a person.

I rejoice in his victory. To last so long is a testament to his strength of will. A true Superman and an inspiration. He will never die.

Yeah I felt sad as well.

At least he has given stem cell research and neuroregeneration research a big boost, and will continue to do so.  I gave a seminar on the topic to a group of post-grads last week and was pleased to report encouraging results from recent pre-clinical trials of neural grafting for spinal cord injury.

Amazing heroism indeed.  He is a big loss as spokesman to that cause.

Which is sad in more ways than one - How many other equally heroic individuals are out there who have similar stories and equally worthy causes, but are not given the same amount of publicity because they aren't actors?

Yes, he was quite a man.  He will always be Superman to me ...
