At school we've got the Powermac G5 machines. Droooool! Just ridiculous that the 21" screens cost as much as an entire PC!  The design is outstanding though! Cheers!

well that makes me the devil then... better the devil you know then... personally I don't like the new G5 iMac but I can understand why people do like it... as for Mac OS X, unless you use your computer to play games a Mac will always be a better choice than a PC... and this is from someone who has a lot of computers! |

I think that is where Apple went insane, when Steve Jobs decided that they should 'de-emphasize' gaming on the Mac. Insanity! They would have been a true competitor had they went the other route.... Can you tell? I'm one of the crazies that build $3k PCs to play games on! my 2cents, iblisdrax |

Because consoles suck to play games on, thats why. And I distinctly hate being 'forced' into whatever constraints they place on gameplay, content, etc. PC games are so much more freeform. And I cannot , absolutely cannot play first person shooters with a gamepad! The horror! The horror of it all! my 2cents, iblisdrax |

Oh yeah. I've never owned a PS2, X-box etc. and to be quite honest I have no regrets about it. For a while graphics were better on the console machines but today it is the opposite IMO. Add to that the ridiculous game pads which are only good for arcade type games like Tekken... I'll take the PC anytime. ...But the Mac is very good for "real work". Only problem is when shiffting files back and forth between PC's and Mac. Often they are not allways compatible which can be a real b**** to sort out sometimes.:angry: As a side note I'm about to invest in a new monitor within the next couple of months. I was thinking of getting a ViewSonic G220F 21" CRT monitor. It seems reasonable quality for the price. Unfortunately flat screens is out of my price league and I would prefer to get a 21" since I'm doing a lot of graphic work. Does anybody have any good advice on this matter? Cheers!

my experience with moving files, updating websites and other stuff between Macs and PCs has been fine. there have been a few font issues, but I have had more problems with moving files between different versions of Office (for Windows) then I have ever had between Mac and PC |

Funny thing tho....I know guys that absolutely cannot play with a mouse / keyboard combo, but are great with a gamepad. I guess it is what you know...because I cannot play with a gamepad with any sucess at all. my 2cents, iblisdrax |
