Ok, that's a boardgame and not a miniature game. Still, it has received a lot of good feedback and I would like to get my hands on a game of the good ol' times when sea battles were sea battles and not air battles. I HATE aircraft carriers.
The Great War at Sea seems the kind of game I'm looking for, but I'd like to hear some first hand experiences. Of course, there is the "Fear God and Dread Nought" but as it has IIRC been made by the same people who made Harpoon it's probably of interest only to Tas. And possibly L4.

Have not played it, but had played Harpoon years before. As I remember, it was very good. I'll have to admit until G/W's Space Hulk and Epic, most games I played were board games. But that being said most of those game were excellent tutorials and historical learning experiences.
