Anyone wanna join in?
Turns will be one a night, with any missed turns being run by a computer player (so you don't miss out). Addons in use will be the Aliens! addon, a host side addon (no players need it) which adds the classic aliens/tyranids from the Aliens movie. Players will require the Shareware version of VGA Planets from http://www.vgaplanets.com
Overall it is a brilliant game, however be sure to get Version 3, cos Version 4 is to VGA Planets what EPIC 40k was to Epic (I.E A very different game).
Available races are:
The Solar Federation - From Star Trek
The Bird Men - From Star Trek
The Fascists - From Star Trek
The Lizards - From Star Trek
The Privateers
The Cyborgs - From Star Trek
The Crystal People - From Star Trek
The Robotic Imperium - From Battlestar Galactica
The Colonies of Man - From Battlestar Galactica
The Rebels - From Star Wars

BTW: Support website for the game is here  , http://www.netepic.org/altsite/game1.htm we have an automated server running which just churns through the turns and is actually blimming sophisticated, it will publish the scores and keep the players updated.
We will give it a week for peeps to get used to it, those who want can have a play with the server, I have created a test game for you to learn on before we all play the main game. Which will start next Sat (27th).

Maybe I'm being kinda dense (entirely possible) but how do you join a game? The help files say you need an initial RST file from the host, and I can't find anything like that on the site.  Am I missing something here?

You email me webmaster@netepic.org, and I add you to the game. Then you will be emailed this:
With an attached RST file, TFH you don't need web access just email access. When you have done your turn email the TRN file to vgap@netepic.org, the Nexus server will email you confirmation of receipt. Then every monday, wednesday, friday night it will host the game and email out the new results.

I am very curious about all of this but I'm leaving for Arran on a Geology field trip on the 25th. 
Mind you, its meant to be the best part of the 1A course. The local pub better be good!
