Basically, you can take a look at my signature and quickly understand what i'm trying to do and why its not working.... but i can't seem to figure it out.

any help would be splendid.

do it as "(url=link) (/url)" (put the text inside the first set of parenthesis) replace the braces with square parenthesis

you have to ENABLE BBcode on your signature as well
