Hi everyone I recently aquired some Squats from eBay to increase the power of my Army of the Imperium, but I don't know all that much about Squats. What I would like to know is a bit about the background to them, some of the GW fluff written about them, and mainly about their army organisation (As in SM's have Chapters, which are 1000 men, and the IG have Regiments made up of 12 companies etc.) Cheers Chris |

In the Yahoo BFG-list files section there is (or used to be) the "40k Fluffbible" - basically its a 200+ pg word document with tons of old fluff in, well worth a look for you Chris if you don't already have a copy... If you can't find it there, I'll mail one to you if you like.. ![]() |

Thanks Stormseer, I couldn't find the file, but a quick search on google for a 40k fluff bible found an excelent site called Critical Hit which has tonnes of fluff on it. And I found this on squats...I'm off to go read now! Cheers Chris |

Ok.,.. what you found looks similar to the Fluffbible Squat info, but I will hunt it out later anyway as it is a fantastic resource for all sorts of old 40k fluff! |

Squats : W/D 127 - SM1, W/D 151 - SM2, CJ 20 - E40K. We base our Squat TO&Es on SM1 Templates, then add a little from SM2 & CJ 20. My War Host has 3 Guild Expeditionary Forces, Special Weapons Dets. and 18 Squat Brotherhoods (!) ... ![]() |

Hi! The squats are a stable "abhuman" mutation derives from high gravity mining worlds they inhabit. These minig worlds were from the era of the dark age of technology and were cut off by warp storms. Due to the low quantity of food on these mining worlds they became a very "hardy" race. Also of all humans they kept the highest amount of working knowledge of technology. Their homeworlds are close to the ork homeworlds and thus the animosity between those races who fight for resources. Their emnity to the eldar comes from some huge ork invasions where help from their then eldar allies never came. The squats love HUGE armored vehicles and have heavy hitting artillery even the IG can handle. They are very stubborn in defense. Those are some tidbits in a nutshell. Primarch |
