Hi guys,
I was wondering if anyone has/had/had played Warhammer Quest and wanted to know what they thought of it. I never played Hero Quest or Advanced Hero Quest, and I doubt that I would even play Warhammer Quest if I had it, but I have been curious about it.
Let me know what you think, or be destroyed.

I don't have WH Quest, but I have 2 copys of HeroQuest, and it is a good fun little game- sure, its not rule heavy, but this is a good thing IMO, it makes for fun, fast games, and is laughably easy to design your own quests...
A good site for HQ stuff is: http://www.aginsinn.com ...there are probably some WH Quest links there too...

I played a few games of Quest just a couple of months back at my loal club. Can be a great laugh if your with the right kind of group of players.
The only thing you've got to watch out for is that it can become VERY repetative. It is well worth picking out decent scenarios (there are some good ones available online) rather than just repeating the same old ones with higher level characters.
I never play any game with the intention of anything but fun, I only take historicals with any degree of seriousness, but it is worth following the rules with a game like Quest. It can be very tempting to award yourselves extra magical items if you complete a particularly tricky dungeon but this DOES outbalance it and makes it all too easy & thus boring.
Overall I'd say if you get together with the right (ie like minded to yourself) group of gamers its great for a short campaign. If you want something to last a bit longer, look elsewhere.

I've got Warhammer Quest, though I haven't played it for ages and use the minis in various Warhammer armies. Fun as a basic game, but gets repetative as already mentioned, though it does have roleplaying higher level to it. GW aren't going to ever revive it as they lost all the files when they moved office and the game has too many components for Fanatic to reproduce in an economically viable way. Good condition Quest stuff goes for loads on eBay, so if you ever feeling like experimenting with it, it will cost you a bit.
