Hey everyone. So I hope it's ok to post videos I made to this area of the forum. I made a parody of GW's latest "formations for 40k" announcement video, with a little nod to EPIC and specialist games thrown in.

Let me know what you think and if there's anything I can improve for next time. This is my first animation I've done in a long time.

Here it is:

Bwahahahaha thats awesome!

I havent played 40k, but I have 2nd ed and 6th, and for the most part was really impressed with 6th, especially the DV set, but i quickly learned to hate the dumbass rolling for assault distance. So gosh darned dumb.

Anyway, not a hardcore player, but I hear by most of those who play the game alot that it is yet broken already again. Its amazing, 6 editions and they still cant get it right.

I'm nit familiar with the source you're parodying so it might be nice to link to the original. Regardless, nice creation!! :)

Wasn't sure about this after the first 30 seconds but had a couple of laugh out louds by the end!!

I hate to say it but 7th sounds more playable at least, despite the "unless you play unbound" caveat...

Oops! I had included the original in my youtube comments, but not here. Here you go jimmyzimms:

@KTG17 Thanks! I honestly I really been moving away from it for years now. I sold off some of my well painted models and have only kept my imperial guard out of my three armies. I haven't played a game since the Assault on Black reach edition. I think it's why I've been missing 6mm games and EPIC more and more lately, as I know it's the only way I want to play the 40k universe anymore.

I think this announcement is for the 7th edition. Such a shame they can't even stick it out with an edition for three years.

@Alf O'Mega. Thanks you for the feedback. I was worried the start was a bit slow, so I'll definitely keep it in mind for the next time.
Despite how scathing the video was, I agree. 7th does sound more playable. I just hope people realise that unbound is actually "house rules 40k".

The unbound nid army had me laughing. Inspired. Also kudos for some inclusion of a few items of my favorite artwork (my little pony astartes, what's not to love?) and my favorite 40k army of all time, the happy pink necrons. :)

I see that JJ is working from the inside to bring Epic back as the only 40k game system.

Thanks jimmysimms. I tried to fit in as many visual gags as possible when "Jervey Johnstone" was not interesting enough. I spent a little bit too much time writing fake rules for just two pictures. Glad you liked it.

I also love those armies that people make and draw that are cutsey and fun. I met the guy who owns the "pretty marines" army, which is really similar to that Necron army. It was beautiful, and a lot of fun to play against.

TinyTim, I wish. :'(
