When a package is delivered the customary question I get asked is "more epic porn dear?" to which I answer "Yes" before adding "but it's all small stuff so it doesn't cost much". They say honesty is the best policy, but I say honesty laced with lies is one that better ensures a quiet life. Could be worse though, some guys blow all of their cash on hooers and heroin. By that standard I'm quite the catch! |

When I was married, I avoided this by having things delivered to where I worked. It was way easier to smuggle in new purchases than have the appear on the mail box.

I actually managed to get quite far with "no that's the same one, it's not new". But even she can tell the difference between a spitfire and a Saab Gripen :/ The multi copters are easier to hide

I can only do the 'get stuff shipped to work' trick on occasion as they recently adopted a no personal mail policy....  I still fondly remember winning the E40K box on ebay, shipping it to work, smuggling the miniatures home and re-selling the box and remaining contents from work.... the perfect crime! |

My other half just went to bed and said, Your looking at porn arn't you, tacporn, night night. Then she says things in a suitably nerdy voice like (imagine Zippys voice out of rainbow) " Oh yes, and that's why you need a 12 sided dice" I don't buy much at the moment but when I was buying shite loads I got a lot of flack. Sometimes I could get it in and the package burnt, som times not. And I have to lie and say, yeah but I got it for £3.50 and its really rare ! (add another 0). deep sigh.... Know I get stuff sent to the folks house, still need to get it in though but it does save me having to explain to her why royal mail has left another missed delivery note.... |
