Hey gang, long time no speak! Been in a world of business that is just now beginning to wrap up... with a 500km move to a new city at the end of July! My wife has completed her PhD and is now set to do her post-doc at the University of Ottawa... and she's taking my son, our cat, and I along for the 2-3 year ride! That means I'll be leaving a lot of my EPIC buddies behind... so, I'm now looking for new opponents to... destroy! So, let me know who's nearby and wants to rock!

You're slowly making your way closer to the NEAT scene... There's a few cons in upper state NY that we might be able to swing something at. Perhaps the great Canadian/US EA war can begin in earnest? |

Oh no! Who will I get to play now when I come to Canada?   Good to hear the lovely missus P has gotten a great deal with her work/study.  Will you be selling the house?

Okay, finally all settled into the new digs in Ottawa... lots of ridiculous challenges on the way, but almost all have been successfully overcome! Lots of space and a good room for gaming as well! Setup my hobby table, got a full closet to contain models and terrain... now all I need are opponents! There are a couple of wargaming cllubs in the area, but none are returning emails... *sigh* Any other EPIC players living around here? |

Even if they're not so good at checking their emails it'd be worth spending an evening at the clubs, chatting and socialising with people there, then trying to talk someone Into trying an EpicA intro game the next time? I'm assuming you probably have two painted armies and could bring scenery. Even if the first person you run an intro doesn't end up taking it up others are often curious about the game and might try it. You may our may not want to run through the training scenarios in the rulebook beforehand, but a proper game with a Titan or two best shows of the scale and game. Good luck! Are you still the Eldar army champ by the way? It sounds like you have a lot of other things on to not be active with that for the moment and that's fine, the lists are in a good state and we can wait. Just, there's a new poster who's opened up some threads including an Eldar one on the Cobra and he's asked for input from the army champion. If you have a few minutes maybe you could post a quick reply? |

That's the thing, I'm emailing to find out where and when they're actually getting together! *LAUGH* Some are on the campuses of the various local universities, which I don't know my way around at all. One had a Sunday event posted on their website, which I went to, and there was no one there! So, either it had been cancelled or the venue changed, but no one at the actual location knew the details as they were just staff, not members of the club. So, I'm still scouting... |

Found some people interested in EPIC and I'm planning to run some demos this weekend at a local game shop... so, there's some hope... *LAUGH* Spread the word! |
