Back from oblivion (again)?

Happy new year all

My resolutions:

1) Paint/finish painting one epic army to a minimum of a 3k competitive list. Any army, just finish one, just one (probably world eaters) !
2) Put on weight.
3) Find something meaningful to do/ a job/ some sort of purpose in life after graduating with a pointless degree...
4) Concentrate on 6mm fantasy more, hopefully finish small beastman force and start work on undead.
5) Having played epic properly for the first time in 2010, play more in 2011

A little hesitant yet here goes:

1. Paint up another 4000 points of World Eaters to almost have the army finished
2. Paint up a competitive 3000 points Emperor's Children Force
3. Paint a NAC Full Thrust Fleet
4. Review the Experimental/Development lists I am doing at the end of 2011
5. Don't waste my life arguing with people that have no comprehension of what the word 'compromise' means.

I'm slow. My goals for this year are this though:
Paint 6 epic 40k basilisks
Paint 6 Macharius
Paint 2x 40k Razorback turrets and base plates
Paint 1x 40k Techmarine
Acquire or Sculpt 9 Wraiths
Complete phase two of Cal's commission
Convert and paint three Ordinatus Minorus.

If I get through all that I guess I'll work on painting up two of the new style metal warlords and create some admech specific objectives. If I'm done with THAT I'll work on converting and painting the second of my AOBR marine dreadnoughts.

Complete my Minervans to 5k.
Complete my Warmaster Skaven to 2k on the cheap. Likely Kallistra Ratmen where possible.
Complete a table's worth of urban/temperate terrain (6x4). Bonus = make a 6x4 table.
Start Dystopian Wars (FSA probably).
Play more Victory at Sea.

I'm going to be busy.

Paint a 50 Malifaux crew for February. (Trivial, it's only 15 models.)
Paint a 50 point Trollblood Warmachine army for June.
Paint a 1750 point Mid War Finnish Flames of War army for June.
Get the bases done properly on at least 3000 points of Epic Imperial Guard ready for tournamenting in the first half of the year.

Then, paint 3000 points of Epic Saim Hann ready for tournamenting in the second half of the year.

And I got a collection of side projects to chip away at when I need a break from the above, including Farrow and Gatormen for Warmachine, the Lost for Hell Dorado, getting some scenery completed, and doing things with embryonic Necron, Tau and Mechanicus PDF Epic forces.

I've also got:

Ebaying off excess toy soldiers.
Decorating my house.
Finding a job.
Getting married.

At least being currently unemployed creates time for the rest of it...

My approach is working so far: I assembled my Hammerhead and Devilfish, all I have to do is paint them..... hmmm...

In Geekery I would like to:
-Finish painting all spare epic stuff: (left overs of LatD, Orks, Ferals, Eldar, Tyranids): not too much work there but enough!)
-Post photo's of the Black Legion army that I've just painted with army painter: will have new camera come 7th!
-Go out with a bang (I intend it to be my final epic army) with a fully modular weathered/realistic looking guard army.
-Build enough scenery to cover an extra 8 tournament tables before the 15th of this month!!!! Winter Warmer Calls!

Paint the remaining miniatures for my 3k Ork list.
Get started on my Epic Eldar and find a theme that works for me.
Paint another Warmaster army. Either my 6mm Romans, Ancient British or GW Dwarfs.
Paint two fleet boxes of Dystopian Wars.
Limit hobby purchases (mantra: wedding to pay for).

Well, happy new year everyone.

I have made numerous resolutions for this year, but I will make only one "resolutions" per say concerning the hobby :

- to Paint test miniatures before starting an army.

I have quite a few objectives for this years though, but I will allow myself to let those evolve. I'd like to :

- get 3000Pts of eldar painted
- get some paint on the rest of my marine army
- Get a good start for my AMTL
- finish this blasted terrain piece.

That is a lot if one is to compare to what actually got done in 2010, but well...


Edit : Ah ! And I have a lot of notes for background writing that are in dire need of actual redaction too. One day I will probably have to ask for someone to proof read it as my English only is what it is and i aim to make it public when I'm finished. Maybe an epic supplement ?

-Clone a cathedral once or twelve times.
-Get the rest of the evil space elves minis out for sale/trade.
-Epic: Xenos.
-Polish off my Elysian army (vast majority of it is done)
-Paint up my Tau (yup, I managed to buy them all back).
