Information from the Warmaster Mailing list, found at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/gw-warmaster

Plastics in the box (and I believe the main troops are being packaged
separately too - but I'll check on that)

Elf spears (2 units)
Elf bows (2 units)
Dwarfs (2 units)
Men spears (1 unit)
Men bows (1 unit)
Wargs (4 units)
Wolf Riders (4 units)
Goblins (8 units)
Eagles (1 unit -i.e. 3 stands)
Beorn (1 single stand monster)
Characters - 9 pieces.
Ruins - plastic - makes into about 7 pieces I think
Hills - plastic - 2 these fit into the corners and can be joined
together.
Rivers - these are card sections.

Metal Range - available separately

Smaug (very nicely done in banking pose)
Hill Trolls (best models of the lot IMO)
Storm Giant (also very nice)
Goblin Guard (metal goblins - elite unit for the goblins)
Elven Cavalry (very nice)
Dwarf archers (OK - not my faves but well sculpted)
Spider of Mirkwood (great fun)
Bat swarm (a solid column of bats - interesting to paint!)

That just about covers everything you can reasonably derive from The
Hobbit.

Rick

"Can't remember Storm Giants being in the Hobbit tho... or LOTR" - oh yes, they don't really appear, but are mentioned in the Hobbit, hurling boulders at each other making thunder. Would be nice to see what these look like. :)

These are 28mm minis, right?

Or are they the 10mm Warmaster minis?

Either way, Rick Priestly is a nice guy. I like him.

Shalom,

Maksim-Smelchak.

Weren't these stone giants? If anyone has a copy of "The Hobbit", please check the chapter "Over hill and under hill".  My copy is in loan and it's been several years since I read it. ???

Apparently the storm giants roared and thundered in the skies above, crashing lightning down on.

Personally I think it was mean't to be an abstraction - GW took it literally, this conv was on the WM mailing list.
