Was wondering if anyone had any other types of Space crusade variants.[I know about the mission dreadnought,Eldar attack, plus the Terminator and scout advanced Space crusade versions.] Are there any players out there with their own house rules/version ideas. I recently got the rules and tiles,4 andriods and the two dreadnoughts from the expansion. [also have all of the space marines heavy weapons - plasma, assault, and missile launcher] the rest I am going to replace with more modern miniatures. most likely the AoBR tactical marine with bolter. Does any have any house rules of their own variants they wouldlike to share. I was thinking of making up a corrupted space marine squad that has been lost on a space ship. two squads of loyal marines must find them. If they have been turned then purge them from existantence. to do this just get some chaos marines and give them the same weapons as the loyalists. [eg assault gun, missile launcher and plasmagun] look forward to seeing what other players have out there. Cheers GreyWolf |

Sean Patten of www.ironhands.com has "Rules Crusade", which is a derivation of Space Crusade. |

All we ever did was use more tiles and enemy models, use Eldar attack and Mission Dreadnaught, use the Orks and marines add ons from White Dwarf and add a Chaos Marine squad for a 7th player and have 5 sides - Marines, Eldar, Chaos, Orks, Games Master. Oh and we dispensed with blips and just placed the aliens on the board. |

Quote: (Simulated Knave @ Dec. 18 2009, 03:35 ) Seen that page ages ago. I was thinking about getting a basic 40k rule book didn't really matter what version [as long as its cheap] and the player buy their "armies" and we just go for it and see who is the last man standing. has anyone made any other types of Event cards? Be careful, as Advanced Space Crusade was a totally different game and not compatable. |

And, clearly, I am right and everyone else is wrong.... even Jervis! ![]() I still prefer it above Space Hulk..... take a pitchfork from the pile on the left and form an orderly angry mob in the corner.... |

Space crusade always interested me. I have the rules for all three expansions now, and most of the Space crusade components. as for the minis I got the mission dreadnought dreads and a space marine AoBR SM dread to convert up as a chaos version, just need to get a second heavy weapon [good thing is that the two dreads I got coming has a spare heavy weapon to add to the SM dread.] also got 4 of the Original androids just need 4 more to make up the extra required for MD.  Also got 10 AoBR orks to replace the standard versions from SPC and 20 Tactical marines + 2 SM AoBR captains as well to use instead of the SM from SPC. will make up three space marine units from them as well as 5 Chaos warriors from them [Might even use one of the Captains as the Chaos Commander]. Just need to get 14 gretchins, 3 genestellers and the figs are all ready to go. I have the weapons/tokens from Space crusade on order from a guy in Oz and can get the heavy weapons from Mission dreadnought as well. Only issue I have is trying to source the Tarantula twin-linked lascannons. Thought if I could get my hands on the Landraider twin-linked lascannon side sponsons they could work but its hard to find them. And certainly not cheap as well. As for Eldar attack just going to buy the basic guardian figs not sure what to use as the exarch though. [any ideas?] any ideas or experience in making 3D maps? we are going to use the tiles sheets from Litko site. Litko tile pdfs easy to print of and glue onto mdf board. Cheers GreyWolf |

Well, I only ever got the core box for Space Crusade, Advanced Space Crusade is where it is at for me. For the Tarantula, my choice would probably be the Forge World LasCannon Tarantula: http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/acatalog/SP ... PPORT.html If you have an aversion to Forge World, I would go with the Techmarine Thunderfire Cannon instead. I have long term plans to make full 3D corridor sections, but it may never happen, and you need to make sure that all the Dreadnoughts, etc can fit down them. I will probably use a combination of plasticard and car body mesh for mine, but I have no experience so far. |

Ummm nice Tarantula fig from forge world but at $15GBP I'll pass be alot cheaper to buy the 3 Landraider sponsons then one FW tarantula mini. As for the Thunderfire cannon at $85AUD I'll pass on that one. I am going to try to build up a 3D map system in the next few months got some ideas I want to try just need to find the right material and then some time to actually have a go at making it. will keep you all up to date on how this project goes.
