The missions descriptions are the best. I would love to play a game where you had to assassinate the high priest of a mad pudding sect, or where I could have a character that looked like "Benjamin Franklin walking a lizard". |

I loved the plots and sub-plots in rogue trader - a time when they never took themselves seriously enough. Some favourites: The continuing disagreements with Abdul Goldberg (I ran a few campaigns with him as the central character. He always managed to get away through use of warp jump or a stashed bike) MACS or Mysteriously Acquired Crazy Syndrome The plot that had the local TV crew interviewing people on the battlefield etc. etc. |

I gotta admit that I'm sorely tempted to field an army of vicious space clams... ![]() |

The awful truth about Warhammer 40,000 : It's for kids, and a lot of adults don't realise that. |

Oh man... hilarious stuff. ![]() One of my favourite quotes; Quote: Steve: It's awesome thinking about some British dude drawing this picture and thinking, "Yeah, this is awesome. This is cool as hell. Check out what I just drew guys. Come look at this cool picture." excellent. ![]() G |

I must admit, when I start ed reading this I thought 'wtf, indeed'  ![]() I mean, slating 40k = shooting fish in barrels. But this is actually quite funny, and like that noted genius Homer Simpson once said, "It's funny, because it's true"  ![]() To whit: Quote: WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Thousands of dollars to waste on collecting junk and paints for junk. In the years it takes you to buy and assemble a large army Games Workshop will come out with a new army or a new version that renders yours obsolete, so you'll need thousands more dollars. Yes, all us 40k players can empaphise with that in 5th Edition...  ![]() *EDIT* Love this one too, had me crying with laughter: Quote: Steve: Now we're getting to the good stuff. I love when they show all the awesome battles you can have. Zack: I admit, it does look pretty awesome, but I just added up all the stuff there - models, infantry, scenery - guess how much it would all cost. Steve: I don't know! Three thousand? Zack: Not a bad guess, but it's quite a bit higher. Steve: Five thousand dollars? Zack: You're getting warmer. Try one last guess. Steve: Seven thousand. Zack: It's five million dollars, Steve. All of that costs almost exactly five million dollars. |
