I recently asked at Tabletop Gaming News about possible miniatures for an Alien game: http://www.tabletopgamingnews.com/2009/09/15/29796 I received some good answers, but I still lack a source of miniatures to represent Facehuggers. As Facehuggers look similar to Scorpions (at least their general body shape), miniatures of Scorpions in 28mm scale or slightly larger (IIRC Facehuggers are a bit larger than the largest real life Scorpions) would suffice as a base for coverting. So, do you know companies that sell such miniatures? |

For Marines, you have these: http://www.denizenminiatures.co.uk/files/25mm05.htm I have a bag of 15mm Aliens miniatures, including colonists, colonists with facehuggers, and a load of Xeno Warrior figures, but I think that these have been pulled. If you wanted to make a Face Hugger, I would guess that two Tyranid hands, glued together would give the best shape. Add in a tenticle tail and you are done - since that is essentially what they are. |

Well, I want to go 28mm as I'm using the Doom Board Game accessories. By Tyranid hands you mean the Tyranid Warrior Rending Claws? I guess they would look okay, however it's not possible to buy them seperately and they are in short supply for Tyranid Warriors in the sprue. For Colonial marines I chose those (up to No.16): http://www.em4miniatures.com/acatalog/TROOPERS.html |

As I want to buy the HorroClix aliens to use as aliens in the game, does anybody of you know any British online store that sells HeroClix/HorrorClix miniatures? I want to avoid the high shipping costs from the US. |
