Suppose this is more of a rant post than anything. Ever felt that, after asking a simple question (such as "has anything been cut out of the magazine you are selling") that the seller comes back with quite a rude e-mail:

"the answer is in the title / description, VGC = Very Good Condition.,
sorry but I cannot / dont have time to check each and every page of over 1,300 items each with some up to 100 items in each., just impossible,
my FB/ rep should speak for itself; 20,000+ FB, on over 52,000 sales and thats just on ebay alon e, in 9 years I have been i nthe D&D industry for 34 years so overall much more than that number, so my opinion of condition is usually quite accurate/ agreeable to 99.7% of ebayers at least, more outsode ebay"

What ever happened to a little curtosy or customer service - I wasn't asking him to check 1300 individual items!

The fact that he spent the time to reply as he did is alot better than just ignoring your question.

I would not make anything of it really.

If you do buy it, you could always place your feedback on his rating.

I actually think they are being reasonable.

They don't want to check and are letting you know so you don't have to buy it.

If they pack everything up ready to send then it could be quite time consuming to double check things like that and when you have a small margin it isn't worth doing any extra work for a sale.

Myself haven't run into unfriendly sellers. Only oddity is those who insist on selling to UK only even if buyer pays shipping fees to other country in full :( Really annoying when there's splendid opportunity to buy rare epic model but seller won't do it even if you offer some extra for it.

I'm probably being overly sensitive. I can appreciate that double checking an item is not worth it for the cost, but it did feel like he was clobbering me for daring to question his view of the term "very good condition". Just a simple "Sorry I can't check this in detail, but my version of VGC is: mostly intact, with the chance of something having been removed" or similar.

Yar but it is definitely hard to get the "tone" of written text "right" at times.  Especially when people rush or don't put a lot of thought into it.  Most people are better at saying something nicer in speach than trying to type a quick response.
