2009 New Years Resolutions

Post subject:  2009 New Years Resolutions
Dwarf Supreme says to start one, so I will:

1.)  Finish all my terrain projects
2.)  Finish painting my 40K BA army (I know 40K is poopooed here, but it seems to be the easiest to find opponents, and they are a lot of fun to paint) before the girlfriend throws a fit about all the boxes and general cluttered look of my model/hobby area.
3.)  Start and finish my Guard, Orks, Tau, and 'Nids epic armies.
4.)  Start and finish the Battle of Five Armies armies.
5.)  Buy a house.
6.)  Put at least 1000 miles on my Vespa.
7.)  Buy a 1974 Vespa Rally 200 and convert it to a race scoot.
8.)  Play at least one game of Epic a month.
9.)  Convert 40K Players to the greatness that is Epic (the other reason to play 40K is to introduce them to this far superior GW game system.)
10.)  Finish painting the Blackreach and Macragge boxed sets.
11.)  Get my Epic Zombie Android floaty pyramid prototype done so I can make a Zombie Android Army.

That might be a little lofty, but one can dream.

Ok here goes:

1. Get married
2. finish Epic marine army (4 terminator stands left)
3. finish AMTL army (2x warlord, 6x knights, 2-4x warhounds)
4. Go see the Tutankhamen exhibit
5. finish Epic guard army (18x chimera, 9x superheavies, 2x warhounds) - this is a maybe
6. fiddle with 40k army conversions.

Oh, I saw that in Chicago a couple years back, it is excellent.  I wonder, are you in Dallas, I just spent 6 weeks down there, and I saw the exhibit was there, but I couldn't get off work to go see it again.

2) Sculpt something entirely and have it be niffty
3) Paint some of my titans
4) convert a warmonger
5) try to do these even with a new baby coming (my first)

Ok, for me:

1) Obtain and paint up some Grymn from Hasslefree
2) Organize and condense my Epic collection into better storage boxes
3) Finish cleaning out my gargage back room
4) Play at least one War Game per quarter.
5) Paint no less then 10 of the waiting 15mm vehicles

There, that should guilt me out next year.  :;):

O.K. ... O.K. ... It's not a resolution ... it's my ongoing campaign ...  Paint as much of my Frakk'n 6mm Sci-fi models as possible !! :O  :cool:

Did you make it yourself, or hire others to make most of it for you?

I believe it was technically the latter, and so you have failed, soz.

I see my post didn't make it. It's just as well. No one will see how badly I failed.  :laugh:

If someone doesn't beat me to it, tonight I'll try to start a thread for 2010 resolutions.

Qoq... I forgot about this thread.... it looks like I actually managed to complete everything except visit the Tut exhibit... and that was because I found out there really wasn't alot of tut there... just stuff from the dynasties up to tut and a few other bobbles from his tomb.
