Howdy everyone,

I'm putting out a general request for information on the Squats.  Lexicanum is one that I've already perused at length and I am looking for more.  Specifically:

Any books or White Dwarfs that had fiction involving the Squats.
Game rule books that had background, short stories with the Squats.
Other elusive websites or postings that have credible info on the Squats.
Information on their names, equipment, dates, worlds, etc.

I don't need to buy these things although I am open to it.  Borrowing is always nice and I can promise to treat your goodies well.  Even a reference is helpful.

It can be 40K stuff or Epic stuff or whatever.

Thanks!

the "reimagining the squat's" background and asciated threads on warseer would probably give you quite a few places to look.
then again I'm biased.

shortcut is search for "EasyE" his sig has got links to all the reimagined squat things on warseer

The normal sources have already been mentioned, I think a lot of the information about Squats came from the period of SM2 and second edition 40k.  Orks and Squat Warlords has to be one of the best sources I expect.

Other less obvious ones are around though -

I know that Ian Watson had Squats in his storylines, I think it was Grimm who had an obsession with the assassin M'lindie (?)

If you want info on the character of an ordinary squat check out his Inquisitor novels and the Deathwing compilation (pre Black Library GW novels).   There was something regards chaotic squats as well with a corrupt ancestor lord in the Space Marine novels by him as well.

Also I think in second edition 40k they had a section on squats in the army's codex.  Not much though and even less of an army list but it's all additional info.

The E40k squat stuff from CJ20 was posted here by Primarch if that helps you at all?

A book in the early nineties/late eighties called "Space Marine Battles" had a number of battle reports in it, one of which was squat. I can get that scanned etc... at christmas if you still want stuff. PM me.
Also Ork and Squat Warlords I have.
Titan Legions Rulebook and Codex Titanicus.
Many many white dwarfs, some with articles about squats.
A full set of the cards from O+S warlords if they'd help.
All can be scanned if you want.

In my opinion, the most important thing to take from the Ork and Squat Warlords book is that most Squats prefer to be called Dwarves.

I don't have a scanner, but would be glad to loan you my copy if you like.
