Perhaps someone here could ask the Warseer folks to spin the Firebase SG section into its own document? I really don't care about the rest of the Firebase mag and would rather just download the Epic/SG material on its own |

I thought the same thing initially. But consider this, PG: every 40K player who is reading that online magazine has the potential to read and develop an interest in Epic. By putting them in the same magazine you can grow interest in our hobby which is lacking in numbers (comparatively speaking). Compare it to having the candy display in Lowe's next to the batteries in the checkout aisle. ![]() |

I really don't care about the rest of the Firebase mag and would rather just download the Epic/SG material on its own You could ask me, considering I'm the Editor of the SG section of Firebase. As Moscovian says, Firebase's SG section isn't targeted at existing Epic players, it's targeted at 40k players who may want to try something new (But perhaps don't yet realise it). There are plenty of fanzines out there that tailor to specific SG systems, and they do great in-depth articles, but that's not what Firebase's SG section is there for. We tried having a seperate SG section and the number of downloads was significantly lower than for the main section, so it's going to live as part of the main magazine from now on. The Firebase SG section is there for the recruitment of new hobbyists, not the amusement of pre-existing hobbyists, thus the emphasis on 'how to' articles, 'getting started' guides, and less rules-intensive articles than you'd expect of a dedicated SG fanzine like Warp Rift etc. EDIT: It's people like this: http://warseer.com/forums/showpost.php? ... ostcount=7 that the SG section is for. |

I mentioned this on another thread but I'll say it again- good job on the SG section. It reads very well and certainly caters to people who are looking to get (back?) into the hobby. Nice articles all around except for the one about the tournament- whoever wrote that has to be a dope. ![]() |

Fair enough. I'll just chop out the 40K cr*p in Acrobat. |

BTW you guys should be sending me news to post on TGN. You do all sorts of newsworthy stuff that would attract gamers but no-one knows about it. Hint, hint |

Nothing wrong with Incoming but I really liked the painting and collecting articles. Maybe you have a wider audience than you intended :-) BTW you can still include the SG material in Firebase and spit out an SG only release though correct? |

Hint, hint I thought you didn't want to post Epic news anymore because it would be 'enabling' GW, which is something you didn't want to do anymore? I'm not being snarky that's a sincere question. |

In all fairness to PG, the GW-Epic relationship has had a number of upturns since he made those comments. The final errata, the strong tournament support, the lack of interference with Raiders (which frankly I find the most pleasing) and the moving of the SG range to the main GW site are all good things and indicative that they want to keep Epic going. Perhaps he just changed his mind in light of those improvements? |

Perhaps so, I'm just confused by him first saying 'no more Epic promotion for me!' and now him saying 'why aren't you sending me Epic news to promote?'. ![]() ![]() |

I run a news site and I don't let my own personal issues get involved if I can avoid it. I don't like Napoleonics either but I post news about that all the time. |

I just meant that you've come back to Epic in general, not only relating to your publication. Your regular visits and comments indicate that you are 'back in the fold'. ![]() It's okay, PG, you can admit that you missed us. FEEL THE LOVE!!!
