I just discovered the Play By Email servers at http://www.pbw.cc after being a fan of Space Empires (III - V) since the late 90's.
Anyone else here play? I've just joined the game 'ASTOCKGAMENOINTEL', I'll be leading the Klingon Empire into battle - or Sto'Vo'Kor if things go badly!

I used to, a long time ago. My favorite solitaire experience was while flying from Dallas to Heathrow - defending a warp point against innumerable tides of arachnids. It was very Starfire-ish.

I used to play SE III-V but I believe the AI sucks. The single player experience was rather mediocre. Right now I play GalCiv II - Twilight of the Arnor if I find the time.

The AI is dire - hence human players via www.pbw.cc is the way to go  .
